He was a beautiful one that's for sure

Superior Irish genes

It is good that he died other than that he was kind of shit

> ironically he would be considered a moderate Republican in today's days climate
> he believed in lower taxes and did lower them, he believed communism was a grave threat, and of course he believed in asking what you can do for your country instead of taking from your country, etc....
> but the Berlin Wall was built on his watch and he did nothing, he also got America involved in Vietnam, he also was aware of the voter fraud that got him elected.

> Nixon would have been much better for that time in America

> but JFK would be disgusted by today's Democratic Party

He nearly killed us all through fumbling the Cuba Missile Crisis

>mfw good progressive Democrats venerate him but he was the one who invented the trickle down meme

Everyone loves him though :(

>t. Republitard

he had to make America look strong, and he made Krushchev his bitch too

sauce?

hardly, Krushchev was always 2 steps ahead of him

he avoided the 3rd war, so yes

Not really. The best part about his legacy is that he got shot. I don't mean that in a mean-spirited way either. Had JFK not been shot, his legacy would have been fucking trashed. His domestic policy relied on status quo. His economic policy boomed but supply-side economics is a meme. Contrary to popular belief, Kennedy did fuck all for civil rights despite being very sympathetic. His foreign policy meant a lot of advancement by communists (wishy washy in Vietnam, Alliance for Progress giving fuel to communists in LatAm) and him failing to call Khrushchev's obvious bluff in Cuba helped to further reduce American interests in the region as well as abroad. Ultimately, Kennedy's major legacy is not anything that Kennedy did, but instead people doing stuff in the name of Kennedy after he was killed because the reality is that Kennedy actually did FUCK ALL during his term outside of party and fuck celebrities. So I'll say it again: the best part of Kennedy's legacy is that he got shot.

Goddamn that's a good picture.

He was an Veeky Forums president for sure

He seemed to be heading in the direction of being a pretty poor President, but who knows? Perhaps he would have learned and grown into the job.

I did like his creation of the Space Race super-meme, which was a fine thing fr its time, though in the long run it doomed the exploration of space to this huge period of stagnation with had since the Race to the Moon ended.

>he didn't do things I like therefore he is bad
Who's to say a slower civil rights movement wouldn't have been better in the long run. Also any economics beats neoliberalism.

he was an idiot. only good part was that he didn't get a full 8 years to serve.

Krushchev got punked by JFK, he flinched during the Cuban crisis and threw a tantrum and refused to meet JFK during the U2 incident

why is he so aesthetic

Because that was the major criterion by which he was chosen as President.

>a slower civil rights movement
A slower civil rights movement is one thing, completely stalling it is another entirely.

>Also any economics beats neoliberalism
Supply-side economics is a major aspect of neo-liberalism.

>completely stalling it is another entirely.
He did not completely stall it. Pretty sure he's the one who ordered the resistant governors to end segregation.

>Pretty sure he's the one who ordered the resistant governors to end segregation
Actually, that was Dwight Eisenhower. The Kennedy Era is notorious for lip service, but doing little to nothing in the way of actual action for Civil Rights. You don't see actual push until Johnson does it in the name of Kennedy.

I'm not sure Kennedy was in office long enough to use the word "era."

It's pretty common nomenclature to refer to Kennedy's term as The Kennedy Era.

What is Camelot for 600 alex

He was the last president to be even-handed regarding the Middle East conflict between the Israelis and Arabs. He was working toward normalizing the relations between the USSR and the US, but then you have the start of Vietnam and Bay of Pigs. He isn't the worst, but he isn't the best either.
