Here's a fun fact about how lack of reporting distorts things, not one knows that Large parts of Africa is suffering a huge drought so that pic that gets spammed about Zimbabwe asking for food aid is completely out of context because nearly all of Southern Africa is asking for food aid due ot the drought or barely above the red.

Because people are in general so historical ignorant they don't know how shit got started or what shit their countries did so in a lot of cases there is mass ignorance on what their state committed 5+ years ago.

African nations are their own independent actors with varying and diverse interests, whether they are ethnic, geopolitical, philosophical, or even purely economic 2. Africa as a landmass is steeped in ecological hazards that make large areas of it some of the most difficult-to-industrialize and human-intolerant on the planet, something amplified by its generally low levels of infrastructure across the board. It's incredibly easy for someone to conveniently ignore one or both of these things so they can instead slot the entire continent into some variant of either the 'helpless victims' or 'ruthless savages' stereotypes.

White run African farms both now and historically have been wildly productive. Mines too.

They do send money back home though ever heard or remittances dumbass.

Because historically they always had funding and support from the colonial government who gave them whatever they wanted and gave subisdies while Blacks were completely neglected and in settler colonies gimped by the colonial government which only gave support to whites and also prevented blacks from competing against white run farms and enacted laws favoring them, land removals, prohibition of growing cash crops etc. In areas of Africa that Blacks were permitted to do what they want with farming and white had no free shit given to them they beat out Whites such as in French West Africa where without the corvee labour (forced labour) white farmers could not beat Black farmers.

In Southern Africa mines only were a worthy venture when wages were low enough so black wages were depressed hardcore in the mining sector to the point that it was only until the 70's that black wages reached 1930's levels.
