Bitcoin is flaming piece of wreckage. As a network, it's abhorrently bad.
Ethereum is basically the same network, plus programs you can add to the blockchain, in addition to simple A->B transactions.
It's like Bitcoin, but a magnitude more useful. Neither one can scale.
