Btc goes down, alts tank

>btc goes down, alts tank
>btc goes up, alts tank

Not Etheroll, Etheroll doesnt give a fuck

>Thinks it tanked

You ain't seen nothin yet, kiddo.

Btc is tanking too presumably, it's just that some manipulating whales are keeping it afloat to confuse and bait.

why should it?

siacoin is going back to 130
xem to 2640
bts to 4615

Low volume, recent hacking and SEC news, upcoming split.

OK so you think the plunge should have been more severe but whales have been holding the price up?

I'll accept it, I like a bit of whale conspiracy, but what's the motive? Why arn't they permitting themselves the opportunity to gobble cheap BTC when they know as well as you and me that the stolen funds are insignificant, the split is in reality a non event, and the SEC will struggle to flex hard enough to dent the progression?

>go on bitfinex
>zero whale walls in place
This shit is going up naturally.

Can you make a case for why? I'm finding this one really tough to call... A lot of loose thoughts with no clear paths mapped out

I'm not sure. Maybe we already saw the dip? Maybe with money going off of exchanges and into wallets supply/demand is causing a rise?
Who knows. It's crypto. It doesn't have to make sense.

>Maybe with money going off of exchanges and into wallets

This explains a lot

It's easy to see if you check cold/hot wallets of exchanges.

>btc tanks, ltc dips a bit
>btc spikes, ltc goes up a bit

>btc goes down alts go down
>btc tanks even more alts stabilize

The whales are mostly the exchanges. If BTC drops severely in value, the exchanges would collapse. They're propping it up because their existence depends on it.

Everybody is selling their altcoins for BTC and moving it to wallet. This drops alt coin market. Good time to pick up alt coin on the cheap. Market will recover like crazy come august 2

How the fuck are you suppose to buy "cheap" alts if you are already all in alts...unless you buy more btc with fiat.

More like

>BTC unstable, ALTs tank v BTC
>BTC stable, ALTs rise v BTC

ALTs have barely dropped against USD and ERC20 tokens haven't dropped against ETH. This is good, this is starting to show there can be independence in crypto from Bitcoin.

Stop trading in BTC pairings and you won't see as much volatility in your portfolio.

That reminds me, just what in the hell is preventing any of the exchanges from playing their own market, using the inside information they have about everyone's bets, positions, stops, and limits? how is the little guy supposed to win against that, if it is going on?

i'm holding all alts right now, mostly eth, no btc....would you sell at loss right now to move everything to btc so you can get the bcc....potentially risking losing on alt gains by the time you get back into alts....im so fucking confused mang.

>everyone loses money
>stop using the exchange
>you killed your own business

Doesn't make sense unless you're a tiny exchange built specifically to run an exit scam. Exchanges like Polo rake in hundreds of millions in fees a year.

But yes, you're too small to expect not to get played. You're the fish at this poker table and all you're doing is trying to ride on the coattails of bigger players.

No, that's a fools errand. You would do much better just to hold. People only want BCC so they can dump it.
Wait till they all try to simultaneously buy back into the alts they dumped.

On a related note, this all feels a little like the big poker craze in the mid 2000's, when there was a large influx of inexperienced players, and online play was juicy. Then everyone got better and the game evolved to one that was a lot harder to make money in.

Yeah, but we aren't close to peak yet. We're only just now starting to see a trickle of mainstream money enter the market in the form of funds and indexes.
