yes, it's official. it gives you your private key as well, so it's not like you're storing your coins in a third party server or something. it's basically a paper wallet that allows you to transact as well. very good.

They are the same coin. Nothing changed except the name. This coin is literally incapable of hard forking, unlike ETH.
