Jesus, almost every scene he looks like he's going to cry himself to sleep.

Val kilmer as philip I laugh everytime.

this movie shows both sides

however if I had to be picky
general lee should have been in the shitting tent the whole time since he had terrible dysentery

...

What's Veeky Forums opinion on this one?

5/5

It's mostly known for the Hitler Reacts meme but Downfall is actually very good.

10/6

1/1

No way.

...

It's obviously fiction because it's about a witch but in terms of setting The VVitch is pretty good.

A lot of the dialogue was taken from old puritan journals and shit, and the clothing/lifestyle is pretty accurate to the times.

Also the HBO John Adams miniseries.

>HBO John Adams miniseries
The same people are doing another one about Andrew Jackson (Sean Penn in the lead as Jackson) based on the American Lion book.

>ah bejaysus, oi'm after conquering de fockin' persians, loik. oi'd better get meself a local broid, ya know. dat roxann, she looks pretty fockin' hot fer a chick. oi'd give her the aul' shillelagh, if you know what oi mean.

i had no idea macedon was a suburb of dublin. is it near tallaght?

You want him to speak Ancient Greek? Who cares if he has an Irish accent.

Colin Farrell really tried to keep his irish in check, but it slipped in that scene where his dad is drunk and mad at him and slips and Colin Farrell's Alexander says "This is the man who's going to lead you from here to Persia? He can't even WOLK FRUM WUN COUWCH TO D'NEXT."

Everybody knows its representative.
In movies Romans speak with a British accent.
Greeks with the Irish accent. It makes sense considering the language the movie is in

>It's obviously fiction because it's about a witch
Witches were real back then.

Is this considered a porno or a movie?
I still can't believe Malcolm McDowell was in it kek

There's going to be an HBO series about Andrew Jackson? Holy shit, I can't wait.

Too bad it's not the same HBO anymore. But Jackson's story should be impossible to fuck up. Just don't blame him on the Panic of 1837.

DELET THIS

Penthouse actually helped make the movie

Helen Mirren too

>want historically accurate films about the Irish War of Independence or the Troubles
>there are none/all of them have a faggy bias

you have that shaky wakey tarley barley film

pretty much raped the concept of an alexander movie for my generation. thoroughly.

Ben Franklin miniseries when?

I can just see its modern day judgements about the indians being rekt

This is one of the cringiest/best movies for Irish people to watch.
'Alexander the bleedin deadly'
Why the hell did they think non irish actors should attempt the accent.

...

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

>historically accurate
>****ancient Persians**** portrayed by Arabs
>who unironically use Muslim battle slogans in several scenes and audible Arabic can be heard

Rebel Heart is an obscure BBC drama about the Easter Rising, War of Independence and Civil War that was actually pretty good. You can find it on YouTube: youtube.com/watch?v=hv659HkCXco

Also:

Why did that faggot Stone make Roxanne, who was famous as Darius' daughter and reknowned as a "fair skinned beauty" get portrayed by an African?

Because we wuz kangs n shiet

Don't you mean

>We wuz SHAHS n SHIET

NIGGA WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU WANT FROM ME?!

Of all the (many) problems with this movie, Alexander the Great being portrayed as a whiny sullen crybaby has to be the greatest sin to me. How could they fuck up his personality so thoroughly?

ETERNAL ENEMY OF CIVILIZATION
