The Greatest of All Time

>born in a family of serfs (slaves)
>>>become the most powerful man in human history

>assume control of europe's poorest, least developed country
>>>turn it into a global superpower
>% economic growth from 1917-1939

>17% literacy in 1914
>% literacy by 1939

>virtually no hospitals or clinics in 1914
>>>thousands of hospitals and clinics by 1939

>attacked by the biggest invasion force in history
>>>beat it back all the way to berlin

>save the entire slavic race from enslavement and extermination
>>>not even slavic

>smeared and defamed by his successors
>>>still the most popular historical figure in the former Soviet Union

How can anyone even argue that Stalin wasn't objectively the greatest, most successful human being of all time? By every metric of "greatness", he outclasses everyone else by a ridiculous margin.

(((Capitalists))) hate it but you're right. Stalin was one of the greatest leaders ever. The world would be a better place had he not died.

>assume control of europe's poorest, least developed country
Bitch please.

>save the entire slavic race from enslavement and extermination

This is the only thing he did wrong.

That's still not Moldavia.

>shoots his own country in the foot by starving the most industriased region in the union (Ukraine)
>couldnt lead an army for shit
>'purges' his best generals and officers
Oh fuck the Germans are coming!
>tens of millions die needlessly before he swallows his pride and hands over control to people who actually know what they were doing
>ruins US-USSR relations following WW2, thus kicking off the Cold War
>enslaves Eastern Europe for 50 years
Only absolute retards (aka communists) look up to this spastic.

Don't forget
>deluded himself into thinking a German attack wasn't inevitable
>caught completely off guard despite constant warnings from Britain and spies

>practically zero slaves in 1917
>>>economy literally runs on slave labour by 1939 and millions have perished in man-made famines, gulags and red terrors

>no sources given
>economic growth = standard of living
>literacy being improved by Lenin's education plan (91% of russians were already in school by 1918)
>Although no hospitals, many country doctors
>healthcare system was one of the worst in the modern world; arguably made it HARDER for the average russian to get medical care
>his purges completely fucked over the russian army in the winter war, had almost nothing to do with the second world war
kys tankie retard

>Stalin purged the Red Army so bad that they completely smashed the biggest, most technologically advanced, most well-trained invasion force ever assembled

This is what anticommusts actually believe. LMFAO

You can tell a poster hasn't done any reading on a subject when their entire arguments are nothing more than aggravated shitposting

GULAG inmates were paid, thus by definition were not slaves. They also had access to radio, libraries, and advanced healthcare (Solzhenitsyn had a tumor removed while in the GULAG).

As opposed to the unbiased, evidence based essay from OP? Lmao.

>completely smashed
>that kdr
>that pathetic performance until lend lease/Stalin giving control of the Red Army to actually competent generals
>commietard delusion

>Stalin giving control of the Red Army to actually competent generals
Which, in typical communist stupidity, he later purged.

However you feel about Stalin you can't deny he was a genius. Apparently even the higher ups like Rokossovsky refused to believe Stalin was involved in the purges

Post Civil War but pre late WW2 Russia was fucking pathetic militarily. They got btfo by fucking Poland, a country that had only come into existence a few months ago and was gripped by chaos. I guess they gave that multiethnic shitshow something to rally against, though.

And then there was the whole Winter War fiasco.

this is bulshit Stalinfag, 80% of railways used in ex-USSR were built before the revolution, Donbass and Baku were developed before the revolution, prior to war there was huge economic boom in Russian empire, literacy rates improved under kommunyaks just statistically because older generation has died out, children in large cities in 1910 were almost 100% literate and 80% literate in small towns and villages. Kommunyaks starved population, unironically killed millions of 'own' people. They produced shit, even bricks produced and laid in tsarist times are noticebly better then Soviet crap. What is worse of all commies transformed people into mass of lazy, cheating and cowardice crooks and this is probably irreversible. I would personally have shot all the fucking commies starting from Lenin by a nagant.

From June-August 1941, the Wehrmacht suffered more casualties than the entire period from 1939-1941.

The Blitzkrieg was smashed in Moscow before Lend-Lease was even put into action.

The US historian J Arch Getty would agree. He claims the purges were the result of competing factions vyying for power. In particular, entrenched party officials were afraid that Stalin's 1936 constitution (which promised free and open elections) would ensure their replacement with younger, more popular candidates. Stalin stopped the purges when he discovered what was really going on, and had the perpetrators purged themselves in 1937,

t. Mikhail Borisovich Khodorkovsky

why do you think a crooked jew oligarch would write something like that

Give source.

First part: "Stalin's Wars" by historian Geoffrey Roberts. Any other book about Barbarossa will have the same figures.

Second part: any of J Arch Getty's books, particularly "Origins of the Great Purge".

Name another group that benefited from the restoration of capitalism. While they pillaged the country, millions starved to death or died of preventable disease. Over 90% of the population in the former Soviet Union hates Jewish oligarchs and wishes Stalin was alive to deal with them in the classic Stalinist fashion.

>implying current Russia regime = Tsarist Russia

>that believing lend lease was critical
ignores fact that commie tanks and aircraft typically superior or at least equal while still having enormous industrial capacity.
>thinks number of kills determines victory
my /pol/ is spreading

I think the high death rates from disease, starvation, or exposure were mostly in the very remote areas like Kolyma or Vorkuta, and mostly in the war years and the time before antibiotics.

>implying that was what i was implying

>become the most powerful man in human history

Idiot. I hope you will 'be paid' 200 gr of bread daily.

Name someone more powerful

>implying i would ever show disloyalty to comrade stalin or do anything else that would warrant putting me in a gulag

Where would we get our squatting and yuo see ivan memes if not for the slavs?

GULAG death rate was no higher than death rate for US prisoners in the same time period (1930s-1940s)

Well, the USSR was weaker than the US at the time (for most of its history, honestly) so whoever the US prez was at the time.

Russian weapons weren't superior, they were reliable and easy to repair, especially on field. Meanwhile the German tanks were over engineered and, although good quality, broke easily and couldn't be fixed properly.
>kills
They don't determine victory, they do determine fighting ability, though. If you win, but your enemy inflicts three times as many kills on you than you on them, then your soldiers fought more poorly, were badly lead or had shittier equipment.

>no source
Why do communist apologists always lie?

Stalin was fucking incompetent in terms of military. He had great generals when he wasnt busy purging them. Also, this mega autist thought Germany would actually buddy up to him.

>A country dominated by serfdom and indentured servitude
>Practically zero slaves

It's amazing how much Capitalist cucks can be in denial.

Power in the US was far more distributed, though. The president as an individual didn't wield absolute authority.

And most importantly he was a qt3.14

The US president is powerless compared to Stalin. What can he really do without authorization from congress and the judiciary? Practically nothing. Just look at how hard it is for Trump to pass his agenda. If he was as powerful as Stalin, he wouldn't need congress, the house, or the donors.
