I understand that. Hell, I think fascism should be considered a legitimate idea worthy of consideration, at least on the same level that socialism and communism is today.

The problem is that we can never have a thread where we can acknowledge the good ideas that the fascists had while not also having those same people vehemently deny their crimes against humanity. I do tend to hate the degree of demonization Hitler gets because it dehumanizes him and detaches people from the reality that Hitler was a real person who genuinely believed he was the good guy. That's the real horror of it - that a person could drive something so destructive and terrible. And by dehumanizing Hitler, it makes it harder for people to understand how it happened in the first place and thus how to prevent it in the future.
