Anytime I meet a girl who "likes history" she's always bluepilled as fuck.
>Hitler was the bad guy during World War II >The Crusades was Christians slaughtering innocent Muslims >Race was invented in the 1800s >Saddam Hussein did 9/11 >FDR "saved" the economy by taking away our gold >Blacks invented peanut butter, gas mask, traffic light, and blood plasma >Jesus never existed >Einstein invented the atomic bomb >Columbus was responsible for killing millions of Native Americans >Native Americans were great environmentalists >White settlers destroyed the buffalo >Prohibition "didn't work" >Richard Nixon expanded the Vietnam War >The Founding Fathers believed in "separation of church and state" >The Rosenbergs were innocent >The 1950s were dull and boring >Muslim terrorists are poor and uneducated and hate us because we support Israel >Income tax is necessary to have a functioning society
thats anyone who doesn't learn history outside of the public school system
I don't know how any history buff could be a liberal honestly

>Columbus was responsible for killing millions of Native Americans Well depending how many natives there were in the Caribbean this could be true. He was a tyrant and considered an asshole even in his day.
Austin Russell
>Hitler was the bad guy during World War II There are no good or bad guys, history is not a fairy tale >The Crusades was Christians slaughtering innocent Muslims Why do people bother themselves with question of someone's guilt in relation to history? Life is unjust, relax >Race was invented in the 1800s Stupid. >Saddam Hussein did 9/11 Why? >FDR "saved" the economy by taking away our gold Well, FDR did what he had to preserve american society in its pre-crisis state >>Columbus was responsible for killing millions of Native Americans Not millions. But he definitely wasn't an angel >Native Americans were great environmentalists They weren't. They were survivalists. >Prohibition "didn't work" It didn't, since alcohol still was sold >Richard Nixon expanded the Vietnam War Wat >>The Founding Fathers believed in "separation of church and state" They didn't? >The Rosenbergs were innocent Probably not >The 1950s were dull and boring From which point of view? >>Muslim terrorists are poor and uneducated and hate us because we support Israel They are poor and uneducated. And one of the reasons for their hate against US is the support of Israel. Not the main reason, of course >Income tax is necessary to have a functioning society Because there has to be a way to fund the social programs. And social programs are one of the things that saved the west from communism
Gabriel Fisher
the main thing that annoys me is that half of these are correct.

The proper reason Nixon is (rightly) accused of expanding the Vietnam war is his extension of the conflict to Cambodia and Laos. Contrarians use the typical revisionist smokescreen of insisting on the fact that he withdrew US troops and wanted to end the war ASAP, purposefully ignoring that he extended the conflict regardless. Some claim Cambodia was the most bombed country in history, but in any case the destabilization is directly responsible for the rise of the Khmer Rouge.
Of course the number one reason people hate Nixon for the Vietnam War is that he promised to end the war and instead he involved students etc who were previously exempt with his draft lottery. It felt like a stab in the fact for all the pacifist hippies who may have voted for him. Also because he didn't hurry to end the war after the Pentagon Papers.

Girls don't like history. They just "like" it to impress guys

>Saddam Hussein did 9/11 This doesn't sound bluepilled, just stupid. I don't know anyone at all that believes this. Most liberals didn't even buy the WMD thing, there were mass anti war protests back in 2001-3.
