Will Bitcoin become the new digital gold? Or will it become obsolete due to slow transfer time and lack of innovation and become the fortran of cryptocurrency? Because in the long run I want to take all my shitcoin profits and poor it into bitcoin but I'm afraid of some other coin taking the #1 spot.
Will Bitcoin become the new digital gold...
>go to coffee shop
>walk in, 6 people in line
>wait 3 hours
>be at front of the line
>buy a latte for .001 BTC
>30% translation fee
>wait 45 minutes for confirmation
>latte was cold
I don't think bitcoin will ever be used for regular purchases as the supply is finite. It will become the new gold imo. Although I do think some cryptocurrency will eventually be use as a primary currency. As soon as it's dumbed down for the normal fags and made somewhat stable it will catch on.
bumping for curiosity
Or will it be the next digibyte?
>Implying the 1 sat menu at McDonalds won't be a thing in 20 years
that's some funny shit
ETH

It's infinitely divisible so finite supply is a non-issue but transfer times are too fucking long.
Depends of whether the lightning network delivers.
> Implying 1 sat transactiom with 0 fee can go through.
If you watch a documentary about BTC from 2013 or 2014, the transfers are done almost instantly. Why is it so slow nowadays and what can the devs do about it?
>btc at 100000000 usd
not gonna happen.
0.0000000000000000000001 satoshi burgers
why the fuck does it take 5 hours to confirm my 0.31 btc
Take a joke
its still instant to see on the network you dumb clown. confirmations have always taken time. security isn't about your convenience you fucking snowflake fuck
what can idiot chan do about it?
circle jerkin fomo
>confirmations have always taken time
Confirmations literally took less than a minute back then.
Daily reminder that this is the average intelligence level of people browsing Veeky Forums
>Those 10 min block times were taking 1 min back in the day
Also do any of you grasp the concept of a lightening network?
no they didn't
learn what you are even talking about
the mem poop wasnt as flooded though
does anyone on these boards read anything but these retarded ass boards?
>Will Bitcoin become the new digital gold?
>user ignores question and rambles on about cash replacement.
Bump
Bump #2
transactions were quick when the limit was raised all segwit once is it to stay slow bcc is the real bitcoin they care about scalability and relieability
what happens when normies find out btc takes forever to confirm when they could use bcc for cheaper fees and faster transaction time
>Will Bitcoin become the new digital gold
I'm counting on it. I have my entire life's savings in BTC and put most of every paycheck towards it. If it ever crashes and burns, I lose everything and I'll have to kms.
