>Mongolian slav apes
Germans are just as Asiatic as Slavs if not more.
Huns really did a number on them.
They wasted resources on cleansing the ethnic populations instead of being true liberators.

Especially in Poland and Belarus.

muh logistics

This is a history board and this post has no grasp of history.

Hitler not being shot for even coming up with the idea.

The German war machine was built for winning a quick decisive victory, not for fighting a long war. The Germans had hoped for a quick crushing victory like with France, but they underestimated Soviet national cohesion. When they failed to win in 1941 they were finished.

The idea itself and timing were perfect, the execution of the plan was idiotic.
They should've grabbed Moscow first, not waste resources and manpower to push through Ukraine to Caucasus. It was simply idiotic.

Would the Soviet Union really have surrendered if Moscow fell? That wasn't the case with Napoleon.

No one cares about your opinion, you fucking cuck.

Why didn't Germany just ally with the SU?

He declared war on the US while he was still at war with the UK and the USSR. That ultimately turned a less then ideal situation into something that was fundementally unsalvageable.

Not him, but I could be argued both ways. Stalin had all the administrators and bureaucracy evacuated, but it was a major transportation hub, it would of really strained the USSR's ability to distribute matierials from the east where they needed to go without the ability to use those train lines.

Despite the problems plaguing the Red Army before the war particularly the purge of it's officer corps, the troops of the Red Army fought way harder than expected and the Germans greatly underestimated how the Russians would seemingly get fresh troops out of thin-air to replace those killed and captured in encirclement operations such as Kiev.

Additionally theres a tonne of land to cover in Russia which took longr than expected due to the fierce resistance of Red Army troops.

>all those tanks in the kiev area
no wonder they moved south to encircle them

What was more likely a German ww1 or ww2 victory?

Definitely WW1 already because of the fact that they actually won at one front

Probably shouldn't have treated the Ukrainians so bad either, that could've been a good pool of manpower to use

Of course.
Uniting huge slavic masses of people against Red hordes would be much more efficient, but instead they chose to treat them like animals lmao.

At first, the Germans were welcomed in Eastern countries as liberators, it quickly changed when Wehrmacht along with SS began systematic murder of civilians, committed mass rapes etc etc.
They've basically pushed Slavs into Communist embracement once again.

Germans are autists.

Where?

Eastern.

...

They should've asked for Italy's assistance

>Brusilov Offensive
>February revolution in Russia
>October revolution in Russia
>Treatyof Brest-Litovsk signed by bolsheviks

Hitler was completely opposed to communism and Slavs from the start. It wouldn't have worked. The closest thing we ever got was the Non-Aggression Pact, which was surprising to begin with.

these are the most correct.

the root cause is hitlers racism and poor decision making. he was good at setting a vision and getting people to want it. he sucked at execution.

Bump

You could incite discussion, you know. Rather than pointlessly writing "bump".
I'd say Logistics played a nice role in fucking up Germany, since most of their transport were horses.
Also does anyone have more info on what kind of supplies did the USSR receive from the lendlease? I only have this right now:
>overall production of motor vehicles can be fixed at 265,000. During the war years, 409,500 motor vehicles were supplied from the US to the USSR, which exceeded Soviet production for the war years by 1.5 times. By the end of the war on 1 May 1945, 32.8 per cent of the machines making up the Red Army's vehicle park had been supplied by Lend- Lease.
>The summary production of aluminium for the period from mid-1941 to mid-1945 at 263,000 tons.
>Western deliveries of aluminium to the USSR in 1941-45 amounted to 328,100 tons.
>The Soviet aviation industry, the chief consumer of aluminium, operated primarily because of Western deliveries. We should also mention that aluminium was used in the production of motors for the famous Soviet T-34 tanks.

Logistics and winter etc etc... but the most glaring problem is that they did not embrace the local peoples in the Baltics, Ukraine or Belorussia who were more than willing to fight the Reds. Had they tried to work with the locals and I mean seriously try not drags peasants out of their villages to get shot. The war would have at least been significantly more difficult.

All other factors are moot to this point

Great youtube channel

It wasn't just horses though, inefficient railways, mass breakdowns of vehicles, and shitty roads all contributed. And the Soviet Union relied heavily on horses also.
About Lend Lease, see this:

Cheers for the URL.

seriously how could German intelligence fuck up that badly?

>Let's attack some thick Soviet defenses head on while that second force they have forming up in the Ukraine attacks our flanks. I'm sure nothing will go wrong!

Without a confiscatory policy of food, you no longer have enough agricultural power to feed places like Germany and your other occupied territories like France and the low countries, as well as your friends like Italy and Hungary. Hell, a significant reason for Barbarossa was to invade that breadbasket and use it to feed the rest of Europe under German occupation.

Hitler honestly thought that the Red Terror was the biggest threat to Germany and Europe
even to the end, he wanted to ally with western nations to defeat the Soviet Union
you see it in the propaganda
Slavs are just Mongols and subhumans, ruled by Jews

The broad front Was necessary
If not there were a good chance either the Ukrainian or Belarussian front would flank them
