I get that you don't want to repeat the same topic over again, and that certain periods or philosophical discussions shouldn't be contained within megathreads only to be drowned out amongst other discussion, but we already have a plague of spammed thread topics about race and current-day issues anyway, which only violates another Veeky Forums rule.
Why not have generals? I assume it was instituted for good reason.

I'm guessing it's because everyone and their little subgroup of history/humanities would split up into their own generals and there would be little actual threads posted, like Veeky Forums.
Mods are global, it's the janitor who sucks enormous cock. He often deletes perfectly normal threads for no reason while board-killing shitposting is left standing in catalog like it's no big deal. It's almost like he does it on purpose.
I don't get it either. Would it fucking kill this board somehow to have separate generals for WW1 and WW2 since there's tons of posters who want to discuss it at any time? No, instead we get shitty repetitive threads that clog the catalog.

On larger boards such as /a/, generals just turn into little "comfy" circlejerks and invite the worst types of blogposting, memespewing newfags who have absolutely zero intention of trying to lurk for a few months before posting.
The mods are definitely not stormfags, they just don't give a damn. As long as its not CP or murder, they just don't care. I did get banned a couple times back when Veeky Forums was new for using "racist" terms like nigger and chink.

Hm. Well if it was me I would have made it without the Nazi Germany part, just "WW2 general", it can give off /pol/ vibes to an already mentally disturbed janitor/mod. Any board is shit not just for moderation but also the lack of self moderation by the userbase. "Don't feed the trolls" is a simple concept but many people don't practice what they preach.
Maybe. But I don't think it should be purely military history related, as Hitler and Nazi Germany before the war are also widely discussed, such as the whole "economic miracle" thing, and tie in closely with the cause and course of WW2.
Maybe it could be interwar period/WW2 so it isn't exclusively Germany.

I remember going to Todai-Ji. It is surrounded by a giant park filled to the brim with spotted dear who are friendly, they let you pet them, but they can get rather ornery if they know you have food and intend to give it to them. (They swoop in on you as soon as you buy any food from the vendors.) Nonetheless they are adorable animals, and if you simply sit on a park bench for long enough, one of them will approach you, and even possibly stick their head in your backpack! The inside is equally wonderful, the statue of Buddha in there is sublime, and the shrine shop as well as the museum there isn't too shabby either. Also, Nara in general is a wonderful city.
National Socialism is just another ideology. I don't get why people are especially angry about it when you have Ancaps, Egoists, Nazbols, Maoists, Monarchists, etc... Veeky Forums is a place that attracts a surprising diversity of political ideologies by nature, and there really isn't any reason to be particularly outraged at a Natsoc on Veeky Forums anymore than you would be outraged at any other radical political ideology. I'm thankful that places like these attract a large diversity of political thought. Though I disagree with them, /leftypol/ is a prime example.

I mainly dislike them because natsocs always spout their stuff everywhere they go no matter the website. They always try to argue against basic facts and think everything has some agenda behind it and everything is some sort of conspiracy (going by the ones here on Veeky Forums that is). Doesn't help they always derail totally unrelated threads, not just on Veeky Forums that is.
It's less what their actual views are (even if I don't really agree with many of their views) and more how obnoxious they are across the entire internet. It doesn't help there seems to be way more now since /pol/ got media coverage, attracting all sorts of normalfags making the board and the entire site more mainstream than ever. /pol/ is pretty much the new /b/
