Technically, he was part of the axis, ever heard of the Blue Division?
Technically, he was part of the axis, ever heard of the Blue Division?
So India was axis too?
en.wikipedia.org
Indian prisoners =/= volunteers
Soldiers from Indien legion werent conscripts
Ever heard of the meeting at Hendaye? Also, if we're gonna talk about a group of volunteers as implicitly being a nation's stance in a war, then according to that logic, the US, France, and Great Britain were all power players of the Civil War.
Franco was more afraid of Britain than Germany, and he turned out to be totally right.
But yeah, imagine being a Spaniard fighting on the Ostfront.
Thank God they won the civil war, Spain was saved.
Spain has been dead since 1808
I resent that. I agree with you, but I resent that.
You have no idea what you're talking about, Franco's regime stanched the country's progress and was a set back from the few good things that came out of the imperfect Republic -i.e. civil rights and the like
>France and Britain said that they wouldn't help either side of the civil war
uh, yeah, why?
>he Manolo, pasame el pan ser fau
Technically, Spain was part of the allies, ever heard of La Nueve?
No, a volunteer division does not mean officially joining. Franco was very sympathetic to the axis and Hitler tried convincing him to join and ended up hating him but Spain was neutral and because of the civil war wasn't able to join and be effective.
>you now remember that scene in Pan's Labyrinth.
He also asked for disproportionate conditions to join.
>forgets that Portugal sent a few thousand as well
>Portugal was Fascist leaning
>Spain was neutral
So, what you are saying is that you don't know shit and let your ass do the talking...
Carry on.
>imagine being a Spaniard fighting on the Ostfront.
>imagine
They were neutral, they sent a fucking volunteer division and that's all they were never formally in the war
...
All is fun and games until your blueshirt Lieutenant says "Fuck him, Lamela"
Yes it was?
considering the fact that Franco's army was severely crippled, who would blame him?
these were rebel forces from india as india was officially an allied power
>Franco's regime stanched the country's progress
>literally responsible for the economic miracle in the 60s
wow, really made me think
Look up the Spanish miracle. Look up the benefits given to workers by the regime. People could leave their doors open.
Regarding civil rights in the republic, they were severely breached, the Red Terror didn't start with the war. There were left wing coups. There was violence by the state itself and violence that the state allowed. Priests, politicians, dissidents were killed. A communist revolution threatened the country.
He either fell for propaganda or is a shill.
I always wonder what Spaniards were thinking in May 1945
What were the Germans complaining about? This looks like fun
>(((civil rights)))
Not even once you nun rapist
>The russian chick
Kek.My great grandfather did exactly that.He said that Russian chicks were extremelly hot when he fought in Russia and he brought one to Spain.
>gdp as a percentage
Wot
Sorry, but you're wrong. She's supposed to be the girlfriend (wife??) the little brave soldier is leaving back home.
That's why he wears their original uniform, only used before the División lest Spain. And she is a stereotypical "chica topolino", too.
>great power
AAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
>Blonde
>Big lips
>Big boobs
That is clearly a depiction of a Russian chick
>Spain after the 17th century
>Great Power.
>Suicide rate is "neglegible" but then percentages are given.
>Using the (((Misery Index))) as a parameter.
>Percentaged GDP.
>The "Milagro Español" Taken out of context.
>Dat "illegal immigration" data
Did you forget that by that point in time there was no mass emigration from former colonies or war refugees coming into Europe?
>there was no mass emigration to Europe between 1930-1975
Exaclty my point
>Taken out of context
Great rebuttal there.
Maybe there wasn't due to a variety of factors, the biggest of which is "during that time there was no colossal war in the Middle East" and "Sub-Saharan Africa still had nifty equipment that however could not reliably reproduce and repair later."
>Country has no industry.
>Ruler insists it's better that way.
>Then ruler loses his capacity to do stuff effectively and delegates what were his prerogatives to his underlings.
>The cronies aren't as idiotic and do try to create an industry, which however shows its full potential only when the ruler dies.
>"Franco made the Spanish Miracle, reeee"
Better now?
Um, no, that's German
I was talking about the 20th century wars, not the arab-muslim "conflicts"
