Are modern-day Macedonians descended from ancient Macedonians?

Most of the ancient Kingdom of Macedonia was in Greece. The Macedonians of today are basically Bulgarian.

I always had the impression that the ancient Macedonians were white and very lighter skinned people compared to today's Macedonians and Greeks. Closer to the truth is that these Bulgarians speak a form of Macedonian, and not the other way around. The modern meaning of Bulgarian was merely to denote church affiliation, just as greek was. Hence the overnight bulgarization/hellenization of the Macedonian people in the 19th century. You are obviously a foreigner to Macedonia and Ethnic Macedonians, and it's clear you have a political agenda. You won't be taken seriously as your aim is blatant.

Probably yes. Balkans is the region least affected by actual migration of genes, most people who've lived there just adopted the language of the conquerors. Macedonians speak Slavic, that doesn't make them genetically descended from Slavs.
