How come the only colony to be successful today is the USA?

What makes something "successful"? Most people would consider Canada and Australia pretty successful

because it was 13 colonies

I was gonna say the climate makes it a desirable place to live in, but then again Australia has a garbage climate and that country is doing well

Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland.

The Americans got the benefit of getting a licensce to expand into America proper by the french, meaning they were able to take a collosal chunk of the continent, with all the resources that come with it, America's political system was very effective (post articles of confederation) as it ensured that revolution and rebellion was kept to a minimum whilst many other countries were going through rebellions and revolts, which drain resources.

Well, the deal is quite simple
The four places where Briys genocided the locals and replaced them with white (USA, Canada, Australia, NZ) are successful
The 200 or so other British colonies are garbage (Nigeria, Burma, India, Bengladesh, Zimbabwe, Iraq, Guyana, Pakistan...etc)

And given that Britain is the only country to have ever replaced locals with whites in some colonies (Spain racemixed with them and Frabnce let them be), it's the only colonial power to have some successful colonies
