WITH NO SURVIVORS

picture of an austrian artillery crew shelling C*mmunist scum in Fl*ridsdorf across the danube, 1934.
>barely anyone knows austria had an actual little civil war where the Fascists took power four years before the Anschluss.

before the Civil war, there was an official Army, the Bundesheer, and two major paramilitaric groups, the socialist Schutzbund, and the conservative Heimwehr.

Minie Balls were the devil's invention

Cool, but wrong Civil War.

you didn't specify the civil war.

>Ameritard thinks THE civil war is the American civil war
figures

>OP's pic is clearly a photo from the American Civil War
>didn't specify the civil war
>mfw

Fuck off Yuros.
He clearly meant the American Civil War.

Is that Custer in the front with the dog?

These outfits must have been murder in the summer

What the fuck, Lincoln is so fucking ugly holy shit

I wore an 18th century French uniform for a summer and it was brutal. We had a thick wool overcoat with a thinner wool undercoat and wool pants. These civil war uniforms don't look as heavy as what we wore, but it definitely wasn't fun to wear them in the heat.

why doesn't he have lips? cant anyone identify the shrapnel that went through his head? did he live?

he's clearly squinting in the sun. how, otherwise, can you judge his ugliness?

OP here, i meant the American Civil War, sorry if that triggered you
Also not american, i just know the american civil war is easily one of the most influential in history so i don't bother with the long title.

>why doesn't he have lips?

Probably a mistake made during colorization.

>cant anyone identify the shrapnel that went through his head?

That's a bullet wound by the looks of it.

>did he live?

The guy was dead at the time the photo was taken so no.

I went on a five mile hike through the state park in my Confederate infantry uniform. Normally I can make the trip without being too worn out. I was wiped out from heat exhaustion by the time I got up the first hill.

It would've been even worse if I had been wearing my boots.

>That's a bullet wound by the looks of it.
it looks like theres a metal rod lodged in his head, making me suspect its part of the artillery he was firing or something

Possibly, but if you look at the whole photograph, the ground doesn't appear singed or pock-marked from shrapnel that would indicate an explosion.
