Anyone else here really attracted to Italian Fascism here? I dont know why, but something about it. Its like some dirty slut I know I shouldnt be attracted to because society says so, but i cant stop jerking off to it. Do we all have this weird deep desire for it for whatever reason?

Italian Fascism is based. National Socialism is for fags.

as much as i hate /pol/ and the rise of far-right memery on the internet, i find mussolini and the italian fascism really beautiful. too bad he had to become bff with nazi germany.

Its aesthetic as hell. It has futurist art alongside greco-roman touches. Totalitarian governments always have superior aesthetics

This.

>tfw you dont live in the timeline where Mussolini allied with France and BTFO the nazis

I've read a political science, backed-up with psychology and biology, book that claimed ethnocentrism is typical of the far right, and anti-ethnocentrism of the far left. The comments that Mussolini made as well as him starting as a socialist make me think he should actually be considered left authoritarian. That's according to the theories presented in the book.

Read about his man too

I really don't understand what its appeal is (unless you have authoritarian power fantasies, of course).

Me too, too bad that mad Austrian destroyed Italian fascism and the other third positionist ideologies

On my reading list my man

Fascism is just being constantly afraid of Communists, even when there are none, and using the War on Communism to justify your morally repulsive actions.

Best book on it? Im reading Mussolini's Autobiography now

The fun thing about authoriarianism is that it is only fun if you are the topdog, and even that usually ends up in death.
All the people having those power fantasies probably end up being the first ones purged.

Thread: I thought the book "Anatomy of Fascism" said that it was Mussoloni who killed the most political enemies. I remember it saying that Mussonli killed the most of its own people but that surely must be false memory.

I have read it as well, and your memory cheats you. It mentions Mussolini's grip on his party never being unquestionable (unlike Hitler's), which resulted in the Ras-led squadristi being relatively active and violent, but it mentions the Italian regime having a significantly smaller politically-motivated death toll than the German one.

Thank you for correcting

Hey, I'm just glad someone took the effort of actually informing himself about a subject before posting.

I feel the same way. I don't think a fascist country could ever work in today's global economy (nationalizing industries is simply no longer a good idea) but I still like some of fascism's most basic principles. Pic related is a good primer if you're interested.

Jesus, I wish I was a fucking wop.
Or, at least, that Fascist Italy had survived.

Man, this makes Fascism seem so fucking great.

Does anyone know the name of the art style often seen in italian fascist posters and other things? It's not really futurism, but I think it's probably related.

pic related

except the fascist party decides what is "good for the people" which is even worse than letting people vote on it

for me old benni committed two big mistakes: his allegiance with the autistic kraut and the retarded expansionist campaign in ethiopia

This makes me like fascism even more desu

All the fun of authoritarianism and feeling like part of something greater without any of the racial mumbo jumbo of Naziism or dull religiosity of Franco.

I think it's because there's a very human quality to Mussolini and what he preached. No race/DA JOOZ bullshit and he was definitely an egomaniac but you can tell that he really did care and truly did want Italy to be a great power. He was just too autistic to really do it and too blundering to lead it; as a figurehead he might have done better desu. By the end of his life he saw his dreams shattered and was left a broken, tired man waiting only for his time to come.

There's a darkly romantic element to it that makes it easy to empathize with even if you don't endorse it.

You're falling for the cheap imagery. Fascism is designed to be attractive without having any actual content. Benito was as retarded and autistic as Hitler, but modern Westies fail to see this because they're much more focused on the parts of WWII that affected them more and is more relevant on an international basis, like the Nazi Germany.

But don't be a peasant, OP, fascism is like jerking off to twerk compilations.

Is seeking autarky the greatest flaw in fascism?

For the vast majority of nations, autarky is simply not possible.

Can you still trade resources with allies and be considered fascist?

>he was definitely an egomaniac
That's a dirty lie

>Can you still trade resources with allies and be considered fascist?
No one can accurately answer that question since fascism is horribly vague, and that's on purpose. It's literally a "go with the moment/be impulsive/bee yourself" type of a political ideology. They were never clear with what they stand for and they changed their views and doctrines as often as the wind changes its direction.

The core idea of fascism is as willingless for action, mobilisation and violence.

official Veeky Forums interwar authoritarian right rankings
Regent-Admiral Horthy > Italian Fascism > BUF > Falange > the Iron Guard > National Socialism

>But don't be a peasant.

Ok m'lord

Italy would be a great power with nukes and a UNSC veto today if Mussolini wasn't so fucking autistic and had teamed up with the Allies instead of fighting a retarded war for a colony in Africa with little to no value.
Also he should have never killed balbo rip

So the entirety of the west was fascist for the duration of the cold war then?

SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI

he is not "fascist" but have a common opinion about the matter.

>Paxton
A guy who literally pulls the "I'm not saying Trump is a fascist but he's a fascist" card is not anyone I'm taking seriously, no matter how "respected" they are.

>Trump is fascist

Wrong Trump is communist

This exactly

>not combining the racial mumbo jumbo and dull religiosity to go full Captinul

lol

Fascism is a wholly misunderstood ideology. German autism claims another victim.

who specifically was he talking about here?

Art Deco?

Is this a bot?

One of Giovanni gentiles inspirations was Marx
