Islam has been a disaster for the world, it has set back the nations that fell to it and has kept them in abject barbarism to this very day. The fact that Mohemmed got away with so much wickedness is proof that there is no God.
It's done absolutely nothing but annihilate culture and replace ancient Middle Eastern identities with cancerous Arab identity.
I'd say Islam was pretty cool till recent times, kind of how Greece was awesome in ancient times but now is a shithole.
As we've established, the only Islam worth a damn are the Alevi
>m'lady
agreed somewhat
Greece was awesome compared to the rest of the world, but compared to fucking modern Africa ancient Greece would be a nightmare and hell on earth. Things are better nowadays.
To answer you, OP, I think that Islam and Christianity were equally backwards up until the Reformation. We got with the times and Islam stayed stuck in the past. This also explains why Catholics are hierarchial subhumans
ISLAM

>Had some success in medicine
Same as saying:
CHIRSTIANTY
>Did progress on mathematics
>Advanced in science
>Had some success in medicine
Do you mena Arabs?
Most of them were Persian. This is why it's called the "Islamic Golden Age" and not the "Arab Golden Age."
This. Literally the IGA started because the Persians pushed back on Arab claims to "superiority"
Fucking Arabs did not even know proper agriculture or precious metals before their opportunistic stealing on Levant/mashriq
Also this
I think the Ottomans are pretty cool desu
Learning about them tells you a lot about how institutional modernization/adaptability makes or breaks empires.
Arabs didn't even know how to write. They made the infidels write down the Qur'an for them when they illegally annexed the Middle East.
Science has only really existed for the last 200-400 years at most. The influence of a couple of proto-scientist Muslim scholars is tiny.
user you must be kidding
So it is Islam that caused the advancement? Or was it the Persians?
I'm confused.
Was it Judaism that caused modern physics? Or was it Einstein?
Was it Christianity that created the scientific method? Or was it Galileo?
Nope.
Persians. There were some Arabs and Islamized Jews involved though.
It was started and maintained by Islamized people of all sorts of ethnicities who culturally identified as Arab or Iranian.
"Reformation le liberalized Christianity when it was literally like Muslims"
Stop getting your history from bill maher, the only thing the "reformation" was spawn many sects which only rejected some catholic doctrines.
I like Islamic kebab
And Arabian nights stories
Everything else sucks ass
Lol scientific progress
Every year , the same amount of books are translated for the greek market (11 million ) as for the whole arab world (300 million)
bad post
Both, Islam provided the political and social climate for such advancements to come, before Islam and the caliphate MENA was mostly a shithole
Is Islamic influence responsible for the monotheistic/pantheistic trend in Hinduism from the 8th Century onward? Is it responsible for Sikhism?
Too many dumb people think the Reformation = The Enlightenment
It was pretty bro-tier and even progressive for its time and it facilitated a wide scholarly and intellectual network. The architecture, calligraphy and other elements of their culture are beautiful. Unfortunately, it seems to have outlived its heydey and has become a force of backwardness.
A disproportionate amount of contributors were Persian Muslims though there were some important ethnic Arabs as well. But what Islam did was create a vaster network of intellectuals though the common Arab culture and language as lingua franca. So the Arabic language and culture facilitated the golden age even though most contributors weren't ethnic arabs . In fact, many weren't even Muslim. You had Christian and Jewish thinkers working together no problems. Islam was relatively tolerant at this point. As long as you paid jizya, you were ok. In fact, some welcomed this because the tax rate was actually lower than they were paying prior to the Arab conquest. Egyptians for instance had it better than when they were under Byzantine rule. The Muslims essentially conquered, collected jizya and let things go on as usual. This is why I said that early Islam was actually relatively bro-tier.
Pretty sure the Hindu concept of Brahman far predates Islam . Sikhism definitely has Muslim (and Hindu) influence though
Is this a joke?
>As long as you paid jizya, you were ok.
What would happen if you didn't want to pay they Jizya?
What would happen if you don't pay taxes to a king?
They would kill you for not submitting to your Muslim overlords
youtu.be
This should explain
Jews were better off in Europe than the Middle East. This is the reason poor Jews would send letters to rich Jewish money lenders in Europe describing the Ishmaelite torment and they would in turn send money. Christians in Poland were converting to Judaism and marrying with Jews on a regular basis. You would be killed for it in Muslim land.
It's good for the kids too
hahahaha, no. Persians contributed nothing except fire-worshipping barbarians and occasional invaders from the east. Even the achaemenid dynasty stole all their science and progress from the Babylonians.
All the great poets and scientists of the Arab golden age were Arabised whatevers, that is their chief language and culture and methods of communication was Arabic. Nobody spoke Persian except in the eastern provinces.
The texts that formed the basis of the Arab Golden Age were translated from greek and aramaic, language of the native peoples of mesopotamia and syria. It had nothing to do with persians.
>Sahih al Bukhari 229-232:
>Narrated `Aisha: I used to wash the traces of Janaba (semen) from the clothes of the Prophet (ﷺ) and he used to go for prayers while traces of water were still on it (water spots were still visible).
>Narrated Sulaiman bin Yasar: I asked `Aisha about the clothes soiled with semen. She replied, "I used to wash it off the clothes of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and he would go for the prayer while water spots were still visible. "
>Narrated `Amr bin Maimun: I heard Sulaiman bin Yasar talking about the clothes soiled with semen. He said that `Aisha had said, "I used to wash it off the clothes of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and he would go for the prayers while water spots were still visible on them.
>Narrated `Aishah: I used to wash the semen off the clothes of the Prophet (ﷺ) and even then I used to notice one or more spots on them.
Sunan Ibn Majah 347 (sahih):
>It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said: "The Messenger of Allah passed by two new graves, and he said: 'They are being punished, but they are not being punished for anything major. One of them was heedless about preventing urine from getting on his clothes, and the other used to walk about spreading malicious gossip.'"
348 (Hasan):
>"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Most of the torment of the grave is because of urine.'"
Koran 18:83-86
>And they ask you, about Dhul-Qarnayn. Say, "I will recite to you about him a report."
>Indeed We established him upon the earth, and We gave him to everything a way.
>So he followed a way
>Until, when he reached the >>setting of the sun, he found it setting in a spring of dark mud, and he found near it a people.

Islam is worse than cancer.
About meteors:
Koran 36:6-10
>Indeed, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment of stars
>And as protection against every rebellious devil
>[So] they may not listen to the exalted assembly [of angels] and are pelted from every side,
>Repelled; and for them is a constant punishment,
>Except one who snatches [some words] by theft, but they are pursued by a burning flame, piercing [in brightness].
Sahih Muslim 2229:
>Abdullah. Ibn 'Abbas reported:
A person from the Ansar who was amongst the Companions of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) reported to me: As we were sitting during the night with Allah's Messenger (ﷺ), a meteor shot gave a dazzling light. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: What did you say in the pre-Islamic days when there was such a shot (of meteor)? They said: Allah and His Messenger know best (the actual position), but we, however, used to say that that very night a great man had been born and a great man had died, whereupon Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: (These meteors) are shot neither at the death of anyone nor on the birth of anyone. Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, issues Command when He decides to do a thing. Then (the Angels) supporting the Throne sing His glory, then sing the dwellers of heaven who are near to them until this glory of God reaches them who are in the heaven of this world. Then those who are near the supporters of the Throne ask these supporters of the Throne: What your Lord has said? And they accordingly inform them what He says. Then the dwellers of heaven seek information from them until this information reaches the heaven of the world. In this process of transmission (the jinn snatches) what he manages to overhear and he carries it to his friends. And when the Angels see the jinn they attack them with meteors. If they narrate only which they manage to snatch that is correct but they alloy it with lies and make additions to it.
