What is the end game of consumerism?

What is the end game of consumerism?

...profit?

Making people happy. Cusyomers get something they think yhey want and the producers get money.

Money and power and entertainment

>dude just buy stuff lmao

Global warming and destruction of the foundation of all human societies: the environment. It's the trick the devil is pulling on us and we keep falling for it.

Economies don't grow when people don't consume.

The poor shoot each other with the guns they buy from the rich.

kill everyone when resources run dry and people are too used to waste without thinking

Just seems like a natural reaction to markets. In ancient times things like cloths, dyes, and gems would have been valued.

Yes, they do.

More than that, it's an aspect of globalism that seeks to destroy borders and national cultures in order to create a global monoculture meaning you don't have to worry about "markets", cultural sensibilities, different tastes, etc. Creating a society of shallow people who desire only purchasing more stuff.

Actually, corporations are extremely sensitive to different cultures and adjust the marketing campaign and even the product itself to the different countries. This is also not a very big issue to for example make a chocolate cream sweeter in one country, than the other.

steadily increased average quality of life

Communism

>socialism/communism is portrayed favorably by its supporters through technotopian fantasies of total control over all aspects of the human condition

I'd rather go back to a hunter gatherer existence, 2bh.

I thought consumerism was the protection of consumer rights. When did it become "consume everything"?

This.

Consumerism is probably the most benign social and civilizational vice in history desu

Is ok reacctionaries. We are not asking your permission

>future pic for communism
>some buildings taller than others
Yea ok mate.

Good luck with that kid

I'll make good profits from your ruins.

Global extinction

>american culture

>communists condemn Stalin in one thread and then suck his dick in the next
Anyone else noticing this?

That's true, but inside the corporation it's generally a monoculture. Each of its tentacles adapts itself to the preferences of the localized orifice.

To separate people from God.

its almost as if....communists....are all.....different people.....with......diff...er...ent.....ideas?

So Is there no exist unity in the left?

america is the end game of it, a violent shithole where you will sell your mother for a burger, thats the endgame of it

take a quick read about them, there are/were many types of communists, and they usually hate eachother

The left is as broad as your mom's gaping cunt, same as the right

...

consumerism necessitates excess consumption of resources, and at a certain point, those resources just run out. the terminal extremum of consumerism, at least in an abstract sense, is when the only thing left in the biome is human beings and their waste products

Better start working out buddy

It's pathetic tbqh.

>hurr durr communism could work if we follow LENIN
>hurr durr communism could work if we follow STALIN
>hurr durr communism could work if we follow POL POT
>hurr durr communism could work if we follow MAO
>hurr durr communism could work if we follow LUXEMBURG

At least the autists on the right actually have differing viewpoints and beliefs instead of just wanking over which dear leader gets to starve the populace to death.

stirnerism

Anything looks terrible if you compare it to an abstract utopia that only exists within the confines of your own mind.

Just look at how capitalism is characterized in the image (inequality, hierarchy, periodic crisis, war, etc..) All of these are universal constants that every system inherits, and says little about what conditions are like now, compared to other points in human history.
The last panel depicts communism as a Star-trek-esque Mary Sue-topia that has not inherited any of these things.

Do the people ITT even know what consumerism is? Most of these posts have nothing to do with the protection of the consumer.
