How did Canadian troops perform in WW1 and WW2?

They punched well above their weight in both wars, but had the greatest impact as shock troops in the first war.

Irrelevantly

They didn't

Cana-what?

Very well.
In wwI they were somewhat infamous among the German troops for effectiveness and precision.

Canada also almost single-handedly liberated the Netherlands in wwII

retards

>WW1
Good
>WW2
Shit.

They allegedly performed well, but it was pretty much irrelevant

very good
brave and very aggressive woodsman but too small of a number to really make a difference

those summarily executed German PoW's all had it coming

no different to the british - irrelevantly

Admirably.
They didn't have much, but they did great with what they had.

Extremely well for their sizes, which in both World Wars was relatively small, even for their population. Probably had something to do with the all-volunteer army that Canada fielded.

Pretty well but considering they always had the most powerful nations protection it isn't that impressive, they were just a little lap dog that is brave in front of their masters

Krauts feared the woodland warrior

I can only talk for WWII. Germanfag here
My gramps fought on the western front from D-Day until the bulge. When he talked about the war, he usually belittled american Soldiers, especially when he talked about the Hürtgenwald.
Brits were a mixed bag according to him. Excellent Riflemen but they suffered from poor leadership decisions. He called market garden 'Montgomery's Eüisode'.
When I asked about other nations, he only ever mentioned Canadians he met during his short deployment in the Netherlands. He had a very positive opinion of them and would continously praise them. Quote:'Diese Kanadier sind ehrliche Burschen.' - 'These Canadians are honest folk.'

which is funny because they had a habit of killing german POW's in both wars especially in WW1.

WW2 pretty un-notable performance. Showed up to the fight and did their job. WW1 they were significantly more effective than other allied units in several battles due to a smarter command structure that was more open to innovating and adopting strategies. They had some of the least retarted command structure in a war defined by it, and it showed. Suffered from pretty severe logistical issues around the Ross rifle, and didn't really have less casualties than the other armies-- just more effective results from them.

>liberates the Netherlands

Nothin' personal, kraut

>liberates the Netherlands
