How plausible is Kaiserreich's map?

I doubt south Italy would be able to be independent if France was so weakened
Nationalist France wouldn't last long in Africa
Russian Republic wouldn't like german help after it was germans that funded Lenin
the most plausible for me are the Kingdom of Spain, Canada with British Monarchy Exiled and the American Civil War

> colonization in Antarctica
> colonization in Antarctica with THAT kind of bordergore

user those are claims not colony's

I see 2 problems
>how could the germans intervene in Russia after losing that many men in the weltkrieg. It lasted a full year longer in OTL.
>same thing as above but with China

>Nationalist France wouldn't last long in Africa
I dunno, France lasted with those colonies into the 1960's and a mass exodus of continental Frenchmen to Algeria would really make their hold quite secure.

>I doubt south Italy would be able to be independent if France was so weakened
Wasn't that just another revolt by the peasantry? Italy got their shit pushed in our own timeline for WW1, I can imagine a history where they got bled dry and a series of revolts turned things upside down. The seizure of Corsica and Savoie by Papist Italy are the oddest things to me.

>Russian Republic wouldn't like german help after it was germans that funded Lenin
You say that as if they have a choice. Russia would be totally fucked and winning the civil war is far more important than any kind of national pride.

maybe Corsicans and Savoyards joined themselves to escape syndicalists

>corsica, savoie, and nice
I think they explained it by saying that it was the Italians rewards for changing sides again. Doesn't make a lot of sense because the Italians willingly gave up the regions whereas they fought for Venice and the dalmatian coast.

Some basic changes to Kaiserreich to make it more realistic

Changes include:

-No American Civil War (although the country is doing worse ITTL than in OTL)

-Britain does not fall to a revolution, but does drift into pseudo-fascism (under Mosley of course), nor does it lose it’s colonies to the Germans.

-Chinese revolution goes on as OTL, as well as warlordism. No AOG corporation and Mongolia under Ungern von Sternberg is more aggressive

-Russia had industrialized greatly during the interbellum period but is not as strong as the Soviet Union in 1939. After a failed Bolshevik revolution, a new movement inspired by the Bolsheviks would sweep over the Duma in the 1920's and create pan-Eurasian state that is closer to Nazi Germany ITTL, but instead of exterminating non-Russians they forcibly assimilate them.

-A-H descends into civil war as a worse experience in WW1 and mis-management on Vienna’s part disunites the empire entirely. German-Austria absorbed into the German Empire, while the rest are made as allies and puppets of Mitteleuropa

-Italy is not dismantled and instead completely falls to revolution (led by Benito Mussolini, who creates an ideology similar to fascism).

-Japan had grabbed almost all of Germany's overseas possessions and is pretty much the same as OTL 1939.
-Spain is in a civil war between Carlist usurpers, the Kingdom of Spain, and Internaionale-backed CNT-FAI rebels.

-Ottoman Empire crumbles after the war. Some Bolsheviks flee to here and instigate a Turkish socialist republic, while the British make-up on their promise to the Arabs and secede Syria, Palestine, Jordan, and Iraq to a new Arabian Kingdom. Egypt leaves the British for the Germans.

Wouldn't Bohemia be absorbed into Germany along with Austria?

>No American Civil War

Good call

>Pseudo-Fascist Britain

I think this is less likely than a Syndaclist Britain. A militant Labor (RadSoc) Party funded by the French has a much more likely chance of existence than the isles falling to radical right wing rule.

>OTL China

I might be in a minority but I actually like AoG China. Kind of a German Counterbalance to British India. I imagine the German Intervention to be sort of a Freikorps expedition to allow radical right wing Germans an outlet away from Europe. I'd also image the AoG being a huge drag on the German Economy and a large contributor to Black Monday. Good call on Mongolia though.

>Fascist Russia

I like that you removed the Cossack State, but I prefer the way Russia falls fascist in game. A Pan-Slavic Fascist Russia seems fun and plausible, but forcibly assimilating all the minorities seems unlikely. They'd probably just shoot them all to leave Russia for the Russians and likewise allow Central Asia to fuck off.

>early A-H implosion

I don't see why this would happen in 1920s v 1930s. I imagine it would take 20+ years after the first Weltkreig for German Influence in A-H to slacken enough to allow the State to collapse into a Civil War.

>Italo-Fascism

Thank god someone gets it. No way in hell do Syndies take Southern Italy and no way in hell does Northern Italy allow the Pope to hold political power. That's like having the KKK rule New England and the CSA rule Texas. If Italy was so butt hurt by getting modest spoils after WWI they went Fascist they'd be extra mad after they lost territory in the Weltkreig.

>Japan v Germany

Nah, the German Navy would kick Japan's Navy's ass. They'd be itching for a fight after they sat in port during the Weltkreig, I imagine they'd be the first to ship out for China/Pacific to protect the Reich's interests.

Cont'd

>Spain

I never understood why the Kingdom of Spain fights in the war. Much more likely they go one way or the other considering Spain has been in a 2 way cold civil war between Left and Right.

>Ottoderps

I agree that the Ottomans still dissolve into constituent states. A Syndie Turkey is actually a great idea I hadn't thought of, a sort of radical Kemalist Syndicalism would be cool. Arabia should also collapse into realistic Arab kingdoms, E.g. Baghdad, Aleppo-Mosul (Assyria?), Damascus, Lebanon-Palestine, and Amman-Jerusalem. Egypt shouldn't align with Germany because they'd be mad the Suez is held by them.

Overall I rate 7/10 good job

What's the reasoning behind all the shit going on in Antarctica?

>Hashemite Arabia
>Areas that were traditionally enemies of the Hashemites
Not very likely user

Why doesn't the German Empire annex the Netherlands? Aren't they Western Germans and there would be no one stopping them.

Why the hell is there an independent Philippines and a "Caribbean Federation"? I don't see how losing WWI would cause the United States to release the Philippines and for the UK and France to give up their Caribbean possessions, especially considering that most of those islands were held by the Europeans until the 60's or 70's.

Pure fiction.

>Le epiccc grossgermania Austro-Hungary basically dissoluted before the war was even over

kys

Call me slanted, but I think that European powers came to the conclusion that direct control of China wasn't worth it after the Boxer rebellion. Even Raj levels of influence is probably overkill. More likely that Germany tries to take all the legation cities.

> Nah, the German Navy would kick Japan's Navy's ass. They'd be itching for a fight after they sat in port during the Weltkreig, I imagine they'd be the first to ship out for China/Pacific to protect the Reich's interests.

Logistics wouldn't work out. Germany's pacific holdings fell pretty much the instant that Japan entered the war. Where would they even base from to bring the fight to Japan? The closest German holding is in Africa, and that's a long way to Japan. If they don't stop at a closer base like Singapore (which they don't have), they are going to get Tsushima'd.

>I don't see how losing WWI would cause the United States to release the Philippines

It's actually dumber than that. In Kaiserreich, American never entered WW1. The United States maintain neutrality throughout the entire conflict, from beginning to end. With that in mind, there isn't any real reason why the Entente losing WW1 should have any negative impact on the United States whatsoever.

Its not so much that the entente losing put the US in bad shape. Its in a super great depression with no end in site.

Wow, that is even worse. Is Kaiserreich even worth a damn as an alt history narrative, or is a "muh glorious großgermania" wankfic?

>With that in mind, there isn't any real reason why the Entente losing WW1 should have any negative impact on the United States whatsoever.
Wrong. WW1 was a massive economic boon for the United States. The European empires crubmling themselves in WW1 was not the only reason why U.S rose to the top after it. The U.S is in a deepeconomic crisis during Kaiserreich which explains why they wouldn't be so interested in holding colonies. But hey, it's still cool you have strong opinions about the timeline when you haven't read anything about it.
And same goes for you. Stop being so eager to shit on something especially when your only reason for it is some imagined prussiaboo enemy. Germany in Kaiserraich is a barely functioning state with shit industry, shit economy and massive problems with nationalism.

Sorry, I don't speak "autism"

The devs plan to overhaul the US civil war and all of China.

Also keep in mind that the goal was to create a balanced fun gameplay experience, that is also as plausible as possible, but the order of priorities is like this. Nobody would play this if it was super assburger realistic but complete cancer to play.

Not much,Italy being split would have been somewhat realistic just like the possiblities of revolutions happening in France and Britain losing all its colonies, stuff like America being split in four or the Ottomemes not collapsing like they did in reality is pretty much fantasy material.

Hello /gsg/

Wasn't it that Northern Italy was actually a confederation, "ruled" by Pope in name only?

To expand on what said.

Germany in Kaiserreich is in a stupor like France was after WW1. The massive loss of life and lack of revanchism made the German public weary of war. Without the 1918 revolution, the old German state remains, along with all of its inefficiencies and antiquated structure. Without a modernized state, Germany takes the Kaiserreich equivalent of the Great Depression much harder than the US does OTL.

Early game Germany is just trying to hold the state together and getting rid of the numerous starting penalties so you have a functioning state instead of worthless pile of garbage. If you don't reform the military by 1939, the French are going to push your shit in by being multiple doctrine techs ahead.

Ironically, I think Kaiserreich makes the US stronger than vanilla HOI 4 without doing Fascist/Communist USA cheese. The civil war in 1936 lets the US mobilize for war 5 years early and once unified it snowballs from there.

Union of La Plata is quite retarded

Philippines are still an American puppet and the Caribbean Federation is in the Entente.

The German bases in the Pacific would at least be Samoa/French Pacific, and probably Indochina as well. I imagine a condition of the peace with honor would be a secure transition from France/UK(Australian) occupation to German Control. The Japanese would then need to seize the islands/Indochina from the defeated allies to prevent this, which I suppose is likely (oops the Japanese attacked us sorry we can't help get the islands back) but it's plausible that the Germans could also regain the islands. They'd also be able to refuel in the Dutch East Indies on the way to China without much trouble.

>-A-H descends into civil war as a worse experience in WW1 and mis-management on Vienna’s part disunites the empire entirely. German-Austria absorbed into the German Empire, while the rest are made as allies and puppets of Mitteleuropa
hol da fuck up, nigga
There's no way it would just collapse with fucking Germany right next to it supporting Vienna

becoming a big boy with world war 1 really solved alot of america self image problems

it's a glorious groBrussariums wank if you play it right
Kornilov and Savinkov did nothing wrong

>tfw no American Union State

Like what?

t. Uruguay

Can somebody give me a quick rundown on the story of kaiserreich?
