Why did they decide to slap a 5 cm cannon on it?

Why did they decide to slap a 5 cm cannon on it?

Because it might have to engage other armored cars, and some AP beats no AP.

this also there were versions with a short 7,5cm gun (which was very well suited for high explosive ammunition) and a long 7,5cm PaK 40 mounted as improvised tank destroyer. By 1942 the Germans mounted anti-tank guns on every vehicle that could possibly fit one, because they were overwhelmed by the numbers of tanks the Allies could produce and send to the front.

Btw, I think such threads only dedicated to weapons rather belong to .

sexy af if you ask me. Only the StuG III is sexier.

good taste.

Why did OKH never transfer the StuGs from the Artillery arm to the Panzer arm?

OOH, a Wehrmacht tank thread!

Why was it made?

because you can make like 4 StuG's for one Panther.

And your point?

Because Stugs are artillery, not tanks.

StuGs were constantly used inactual tank destroyers and tank units, not only as emergency replacements, but long-term as well. They were too economically backwards to hold themselves to a rule like that.

We've built less logical shit

>falling for the Pentagon Wars meme
All countries were moving toward tank-like IFVs over APCs. Garbage like the M113 were just magnets for fire with no defense and no offense. Just look at the success of the BMP.

It was more like 2:1. 4:1 was for tigers

>dissing gavins
>when they're superior afv to abrams, better fighter than f-35 and overall the ultimate combat vehicle ever to graze the earth

they fear the gavin warrior

You get more bang for your buck...

Don't talk shit about my baby

the recon battalions of the panzer divisions often had to stand their own ground or even used independantly from their unit, thus becoming more like a light panzer regiment

this was because towards the end of the war, the panzer divisions was almost always under their official strenght but their objectives didnt change with it

the recons didnt participate in front assaults apart from scouting so the panzer regiments needed some sort of help after suffering losses

the puma was there to fill this need, not many were produced though

it's literally just a standard IFV in the same style as a marder, BMP, CRV, etc.

This fucked is hard to steer in War Thunder

But BMP, CV90, Marder etc. are just far better at everything.

But the bmp is a well designed ifv while the bradley isn't.

Sad to see them in the hands of araps

You should've read about its development

Probably to engage armored targets

oooo, Finnish Stug. III even better

Is this a Dick Her Maximum?
