Thirty Years' War is the most prominent example.

also in the Seven Years' War the HRE including all German states except Prussia and the small British possessions like Hanover were allied with France.

Austrian succession war
Which turned out to be the biggest mistake ever

Invasion of Russia, quite a few Germans on the French side. Also during the 100 year war, parts of the HRE fought for the French

I identify Prussia more with Germany's "cause" then Austria though and I think this is the common notion at least here in northern Germany.

but if there was a """"unified"""" German state back then it was the HRE, and the HRE fought with France.

The german-french military cooperation is working really well in Mali. At least according to my Bundeswehr-friend.

>""""unified""""
You said it yourself. Again Idk how it is in south Germany but I'd feel more identified with Prussia than "Austria and it's allies"

>I'd feel more identified with Prussia
No, Württemberg, Baden and Bavaria is where it's at.

Germany was French province during most of Napoleon's reign.

Prussian propaganda and unification turned the Prussian cause in to the German one aswell, here in the South (not speaking for Bavaria) afaik

Alpine spotted. Nordic master race represent.

>Celts > Germanics
is that why Celts are so irrelevant that no one even speaks Celtic languages anymore?

Celts are the biggest meme.

came here to post this

hello there, master race. we are here here to protect you from these inferior germanians.

don't mind those roman settlers, they are here to help

Probably because the habsburgs liked to larp as italians and frenchand the idea of austria being part of germany has been heavily shunned since ww2

how do you know you're half Germanic and half Celtic? I figure these peoples pretty much
mixed up entirely around the Roman times...
at least they had a civilization

Whitey unitin' to keep the black man down

Crusaders were mostly French and Germans

Reminder that the Hohenzollern are Swabian nobility.

Right now, standing united against the Anglo.

Because one side migrated to germany from ireland somewhere really really early and the other side comes from former prussian regions from where they went into the rhineland.

A drunken but quite stoic workhorse.

>at least they had a civilization
Yes, you can clearly see superior Celtic civ through Irish achievements.

During the invasion of 1812, though the Prussians and Austrians were about as unenthusiastic as they come.
