>all of my crypto accounts have their own random 24 character alphanumeric passwords
>but they're just saved in a text file on my desktop labeled "pw.txt"

Password protect that txt file and you're golden.

I'm on Windows, do I need a program for that or something?

>password protect pw.txt
>save that password in pw2.txt

kek

Just put a pw on that one and keep it in pw.txt

I have no fucking idea what I'm doing.

I took pictures of my private keys on my phone and that's my only record of them.

No backup of my jstor file for MEW if my laptop dies

No backup of my 2fa authenticator app on phone, too lazy to download the better one

have like 50k in these accounts

use keypass retard

also its all useless when quantum computers come

now that you've admitted the problem, you can begin fixing it

if i just held id have turned $1k into $14k in 3 months but i fucked around and im now on $800

ayy lmao

KeyPass X my brainlet friends
Always save your 2FA secret along your passwords

lost

Bought at the ATH.

Not gonna sell...

This
>sold everything when I should have held
>held everything when I should have sold
This happened in 12/12 cases. I'm so fucking retarded and have lost so much money because of it...

Just started using KeePass 2 literally days ago, should I switch to KPX instead? Quick rundown?

If anyone gets our passwords it's gonna be through a keylogger anyway. Seriously fuck keyloggers.

I just hacked into your computer and took all of the passwords...

there were only 17 bitbeans across 6 different exchanges. What a waste of my time

Bc of shit like this I've had everything on paper like the absolute autist I am for the longest time and finally decided to switch some to digital

I guess it doesn't matter since I would type them in anyways when using them

are you me. i feel like its secured

kek

I forgot what my initial investment was, so now im not sure if im up or down

use lastpass dawg

Use Keepass 2, change security settings so you're inputting the master password in virtual desktop and therefore immune to keyloggers.

How to avoid this problem? Linux? Seems to be the biggest problem with crypto.

...

2 step verification is probably your safest bet

SHIT ARE YOU ME?

KeePass Portable

Thank me later.

i write all my passwords on the inside of my bedside drawer

we both know its down user, there's a reason why you don't check.

KeePass portable with Firefox portable with the Keefox addon installed = God tier

I have some ETH invested in the ChainLink ICO presale and haven't a clue what is happening because I just got into investing in crypto last week.

ctrl c + ctrl v and 2FA

if someone has access to your desktop, you are fucked either way.

Google Chrome does not even guard against a maid attack, saying it is useless to lock something up when they have the master key.

I use veracrypt

lmao

Use emacs to edit a plain text file with the file extension ".gpg", and put your passwords there. Emacs will encrypt and decrypt the file for you when you need it using PGP encryption.

Works on Linux and Mac (with a little fiddling with homebrew).
