Poland and the Black Plauge

Now that the Dust has settled, can we get an actual answer as to how the Poles avoided the Plauge??

They didn't have a Rothschild bank? (Probably that would be the response from the Rothschild poster.)

nobody with the disease went to poland
why? who the fuck wants to go to poland

I would assume it was a culmination of low population, vast open space, easy access to clean water, and no major trade ports.

I'll just name a few

1. Polish towns were pretty far away from each others. About seven days between each sizable settlement because of the general lack of infrastructure. People get symptoms of the plague in about three to four days after being infected. So they're beginning to die slowly about three days before they get to the next town.

2. It was Polish custom to have merchant caravans and traders wait outside a city to be allowed access, as they didn't really want a metropolis teeming with outsiders since literally everyone and their mother was trying to usurp the nobility by any means, including spies and sabotage. So, given that a caravan of dying merchants shows up at your gates and wants access, covered in sores and coughing their guts out, they were naturally denied access.

3. Note the areas of plague on the map. They spread across major trade routes. The silk road and the trade routes across the steppe hordes bring the plague in first. Then it hits major cities across the Mediterranean and up to England. Since Poland wasn't a major stop on anyone's list of places to trade goods, they received less traffic, and consequently fewer infected plague victims.

And these are just a few reasons why. Completely disregarding Polish magicians and their spells.

How the fuck did the plague reach Sardinia?
The Mediterranean
(((Nobody))) would poison their own wells.

...

Thanks anons! I was half expected to get the meme answers.

But people couldn't reach Sardinia by sea at that time.

That doesn't make sense though. It would take much longer than the time span shown here to get there

But all of that aside from the quarantine would also be true about the Rus' and it did get hit by the plague.

You mean within that timeframe?

Because the disease got there, unless poles already were immune to it somehow.

Cats.

Ebin. But no. Not in the 14th century when Poland was united and under its most successful king. Poland had a great time durin renaissance.
