Cannibalism for ideological purposes

>Cannibalism for ideological purposes

>There have been some reports of cannibalism for ideological reasons during the Cultural Revolution and Great Leap Forward. The most well documented example is in the village of Wuxuan, Guangxi Autonomous Region where in the local officials began to practise cannibalism between May and July of 1968 during the Cultural Revolution, resulting in the imprisonment of 15 local officials. Although the Party and the relatives of the victims are aware of this, it has yet to be made public in China. In 1986 and 1988, Zheng Y (Cheng I), a former Red Guard and the author of Scarlet Memorial, went down to Guangxi where he obtained documents detailing the cannibalism. "For the first time in our long history Chinese ate people, not because there was a famine and they were starving to death, but for political reasons. I think thousands participated in the cannibalism and at least many hundreds were eaten. The Party knows all about it," said Zheng. According to Cheng, hundreds of men, women, and children deemed enemies of the Revolution were killed and eaten by the perpetrators, who even gave comments on the best way of preparing the meat - apparently by broiling not boiling.

Nigga thats dangerous

There's this utterly baffling segment (for a Westerner anyway) in Water Margin where one of the heroes is almost killed and eaten by two cannibalistic bandits who serve human flesh to passing travelers out of their inn. When they discover who he is they sat sorry for trying to kill and eat him and then join up with him. Nowhere is their murder and consumption of innocent people portrayed as a bad thing.

>In 2003, the Guangdong Provincial Public Security Bureau sought to block reports that some restaurants in the southern province had cooked dead babies in soups and sold the food to businessmen from Taiwan and Hong Kong.
>In the nineties, also in Guangdong, it was discovered that foetuses were being trafficked and boiled to make soups marketed as beauty treatments

WHAT THE FUCK

china was poor then, and there are many corrupt businessmen in asia that will go to any lengths to cure their illnesses, including these shady methods

to put it in a western perspective, imagine if some of the rich people in your countries genuinely believed in stuff from the Celtic era involving human sacrifices and what not

it's not too far off to those incidents where people get drugged and wake up missing a kidney

t.singaporean

China isn't even superstitious, they're just damn ridiculous. Somehow boiling or drying and powdering something makes it 'healthy'. Thousands of years of snake oil, except that snake oil is tiger penis powder and baby girl wax.

In America some of the rich are known to inject the blood of the young

It is a pernicious pseudoscience

>Veeky Forums is not /pol/, and Global Rule #3 is in effect. Do not try to treat this board as /pol/ with dates. Blatant racism and trolling will not be tolerated, and a high level of discourse is expected.

>Rich people are superstitious Assholes

Wtf
I hate physical wealth now

What racism?

If the person in question has a brain problems then yes. If there are no alzheimers or parkinsons like symptoms then it's relatively safe

I'd like to try human meat oneday

>amphetamine precursors literally comes from TCM
>malaria cure literally comes from TCM
I hate this argument, all traditional herbal fungal medicines have value, we just haven't subjected their herbal medicines to the scientific method in order to isolate the active ingredients in such meme medicine

>le ebil facts

Not going to read the link, but "expression of love" part is probably based on the story of the official who helped his starving monarch by cutting off a slice of his own leg and serving it to the king.

His name was JieZiTui, he gets mentioned every so often in confucianism. Apparently this story is related to the modern QingMing festival.

So it's kind of like the story of Roman Charity, except with cannibalism

This is now a China hate thread

Why the chinese seems don't have empathy with each other?

>thinly vieled China hate thread
We know OP.
Please stop shitting up Veeky Forums you nigger

Are Chinamen biologically capable to operate heavy industrial machines?

Can we truly allow these people to get a license

Those machines obviously feed on chinamen.

That's because most of the time they do absolutely nothing

I'm not talking about that, I'm talking about literal powders made from tiger penis.

Didn't Liu Bei eat someone's wife?

"When Liu An received Liu Bei, he offered Bei a meal and Bei gladly accepted. Finding that he had no meat, however, Liu An killed his wife and used meat from her body to prepare Liu Bei a meal. When Bei left later, he found the body with a section carved out and was deeply moved by Liu An’s actions, realizing what had been done.

When he rejoined Cao Cao, he told him of what happened, and Cao Cao too was moved by the story of Liu An’s actions. Cao Cao sent money to compensate Liu An for his wife."

Chinese history is utterly fascinating, and scholars at the time kept some pretty good records back then.

t.Cannibal

I did ask a chink about this after i took him fishing, he was visiting from china.
Apparently there have been a lot of cases of people who provided help to injured people in public being blamed for it and being forced to pay the bills because they don't have socialised health care.

*raughs*

Cannibalism is pretty common in East Asia.
>chinese eat people
>koreans eat people
>japanese eat people

Also South East and South Asia, the Americas, and sub-Saharan Africa. More cannibals than non cannibals, really.

I heard there are stories where Japanese soldiers ate American POWs to gain magic powers.

I remember seeing pictures of chinese baby soups

I'm pretty sure those photos were from an art piece. It was a hoax that was being spread around.

That shit's messed up

this is why I never eat chink food

>they don't have socialised health care.
>in china

What?

The CCP is secretly an ancap party

Don't think they have any social security either

thats the exact thing im referring to
i wish my fellow countrymen would stop believing the unproven stuff, it puts a bad image on tcm

It's true. Even universities are paid and not free.

...

Other then Placebo effect, because most of them do absolutely nothing2

That's how traditional medicine works in all cultures user, even today most drugs don't even come to market. In fact most drugs are inspired by chemicals found in nature that are impossible to reproduce by laboratory means. Penicillin was a happy accident due to a dirty scientist after as well. Think of traditional medicine as a step in the right direction. It's up to modern science to investigate whether traditional medical claims hold any water, but the vast majority of new revolutionary medical drugs are inspired by traditional medicine.

t. biochemist

the bitch in the pic needs the BBC

Tbh the only thing that separates PRC is from an ancap maymays is that instead of individuals harvesting organs for sale from roadkills it is state that does it.

Why?

Other than, the dangers of having to kill the human, if alive and being hunted by the gov, if its illegal.

No one knows until they're tested

What are you going to link me next? Mad Cow Disease for anti-meat argument?

Relax man, I love meat like everyone else, I just tried to show that user's point. You can eat your mom's pussy if you want.

Truly every user's dream.

Until you link some original Chinese text from Sanguozhi or Houhanshu proving that, you're full of shit.

Sanguo Yanyi is Veeky Forums, not Veeky Forums

southerners are degenerates in every single country ever

what confuses me is that confucian beliefs means that cremation is an awful thing and somehow fucks over people in the afterlife...but its ok to eat people's cadavers?

Something doesn't add up here.

/fremen/ as fuck don't hate you effete imperial cuck

>"It's a rule of ecology," Kynes said, "that the young Master [Paul] appears to understand quite well. The struggle between life elements is the struggle for the free energy of a system. Blood's an efficient energy source."

SOPA DE HUMANO, UMA DELICIA!!

You eat them BECAUSE it fucks them up in the afterlife, dope. It's revenge AND delicious.

>Sub-Saharan Africa

Only the places filled with Bantu trash, like Tanzania and the Congo (poor pygmies), and in absolute hell holes like Liberia (no, West Africans aren't Bantu).
