Contribute to your 401k (significantly). Also, contribute (significantly) to any other top-line income reducing tools you'll use (FSA / Dependent child care account) and finally put some money into an ESPP if they have one.
I make about 130 a year and do the following (simple math for you)
130 - salary
18k - 401k
5k - dependent care
2k - health flex spending
Taxable income basis 105k
That sort of shit adds up come tax-time as I basically "saved" 9k in taxes by reducing my topline income.
You should - of course - be doing the same.
