WW1

>WW1
>Russian Civil War
>Forced Collectivization
>Famine of the 1930s
>Great Purges
>WW2
Is there any other country who suffered so much in a 50 year span?

No

The entire 20th century was one long almost continuous JUST moment for Russia. If things had gone a bit better during and after WW1, Russia would be the world's most powerful country right now.

China maybe

and china would be a superpower

1725-1775, America suffered from an authoritarian regime controlling her

Is there any time period where being Russian wasn't suffering?

...

That's a 100 years not 50. Also the answer is Poland.

>Is there any other country who suffered so much in a 50 year span?
Yeah, Poland suffered worse. I guess that made them to the whiny little bitches they now are.

As in talking about it? That's how people know something happened. USSR was blocking all info for 50 years so now we have retards worshipping Che Guevara.

The Poles I have met in real life and on the internet often seem so butthurt about everything, especially against us Germans and Russians. Be it the World War, the EU or the alleged assasination of Kaczynski.
Whereas the Russians still mourn for their dead and honor their losses, but do not seem to carry such hate towards us.

>us
And who would that be

>or the alleged assasination of Kaczynski

Disregard everything that the person holding this belief has ever said to you and don't think it represents a big portion of Polish population.

Can we end the "americans were oppressed" meme right here and now?

Tea Act made the tea cheaper to buy.

Germany

Everything went downhill after the war with Japan. That set the decline in motion.

Carthage

It's not suffering if they deserve it

China was pretty cucked from the opium wars onward, if we ignore the 50 years limit probably up to the lates 70's/early 80's

That just makes the revolution even more hilarious, an army of mildly pissed off colonists defeated the British Empire

>The entire 20th century was one long almost continuous JUST moment for Russia.
>when you fuck up your Empire just to get back at mean daddy so much that it spends the next two centuries utterly buttfucked and unable to function on the global stage other than hurr nukes.

>can't go west
>taxation without representation
>have to only buy brit goods
>get massacred
Doesn't mean we were oppressed but the reasons were just

This.

China literally has a historical period called "the Century of Humilliation", and after a brief respite with Chiang they had the Japanese invasion and fucking Mao.

JUST

>Russian
>not butthurt

what

Russians are too brainwashed by state media to the point that the majority of them think that Russia is legitimately the greatest country in the world and that everyone else is about to be destroyed by the glorious unstoppable Russian army blessed by high lord Putin himself. They are not butthurt, they just gleefully wait for the moment when Russia will be STONK.

Frankly when Putin & his mafia friend crash the Russian economy with no survivor it will be a hilarious wake up call for everyone. Might go full Commies again.

t. Russian

>send a revolutionary to Russia to destabilize the Monarchy and knock them out of political relevance
>that same government you installed comes back 25 years later and juggernauts its way to Berlin, annexing Prussia in the process

what did the Germans mean by this?

>when Putin & his mafia friend crash the Russian economy with no survivor it will be a hilarious wake up call for everyone

Let's be real, you can't wake up a coma patient.

The Russians will never make the connection between authoritarian kleptocracy and their countries problems, they'll just say "thank god this new autocrat is saving us from the last guy" and continue until the next sandcastle gets washed away by the coming tide.

So this book is true.
And I've had some good conversations with Russians on Veeky Forums who don't identify with the Soviets. It is pretty annoying to think that a lot of people believe what is basically a pro-Soviet propaganda in the 21st century concerning WWII and history in general.Recently there've been at least two materials abut it in two popular news stations in Russia.

19,18, second half of 20 and 17 century

1960s-1970s USSR was pretty comfy, all things considered

t. Not Russian though

kys

>get massacred
???

Jew?

>comfy
Compared to the Stalinist period, yeah. It was "comfy" in all East Bloc countries.

>Jew?
You clearly don't know history very well. Anti-semitism was common in the Soviet Union and its satellites. Especially after Six-Day War. Of course officially it was a campaign against Zionism, not against the Jews.

>chaos post WW1, war with every neighbor
>unstable political climate till the mid 30's
>invaded by Germany & Russia
>POW executions by Germans/Russians
>civilian executions
>round ups in cities every day
>Germans have active plans to wipe out your people
>Warsaw is something like 90% destroyed
>1/5 of your population is dead
>war over; occupied by the Russians
>shitheap communist puppet state enacted
>Soldiers in exile who fought on every front are not allowed home
>Stalinization; veterans are executed on dubious charges

t. polak

Germany in the same period

t. Vatnik

Not even close.

>suffer through WW1
>suffer through 2 fucking depressions
>have your entire country burned to the ground and a large portion of the population killed and/or raped
>lose a third of your country with all the people getting deported
>have it split up
You can shittalk Germans all you want but they still had it really fucking rough during these 50 years

>suffer through WW1
Less than others.
>suffer through 2 fucking depressions
Like most countries.
>have your entire country burned to the ground and a large portion of the population killed and/or raped
Less than others. We are comparing here some 1.5 million German civilians to 5.9 Polish civilians or some 10-13 million Soviet civilians.
>lose a third of your country with all the people getting deported
Like Poland? And what about Baltic states which were fully annexed by the Soviet Union?
>have it split up
And some countries completely lost their independence.

>Less than others.
Not by much if you go by the casualties
>>suffer through 2 fucking depressions
>Like most countries.
Everyone else only had 1 depression, Germany had 2 thanks to the Versailles treaty and Germany was actually hit the worst except for America when it comes to the second one.
>Like Poland? And what about Baltic states which were fully annexed by the Soviet Union?
>And some countries completely lost their independence.
Poland did get German land in which they could house the refugees from the lost territories, Germany didn't get that and we were comparing with Russia anyway, not Poland and the Baltics.

>Russian (((Civil))) War

>it was a campaign against Zionism, not against the Jews.
