Why weren't the Polish lands in the east returned but German lands in the west were handed over?
...
Because
(1) They weren't originally Polish, but only conquered by them in the 1920/21 Polish-Soviet War
(2) The Soviets annexed the territories in 1939 and didn't want to return them after WW2 (and had no reason to, since they won the war)

Does anyone have good maps of British India?
I'm kind of mad about the fact that the princely states got just absorbed into the republic like that
OK, it would be too much to keep all those tiny ass counties, but they could have organized the smaller ones by agency.
There's like no information on the internet in English one there.
The agencies aren't even properly characterised on Wikipedia.
One would have to look through some imperial archives to find out what the fuck actually happened there

What if rome conquered persia? Would it look like this?
WHY DID IT EVER CHANGE
that was actually a humongous undertaking by sardar patel. he literally convinced 600+ princely states to accede to the republic of india.

They should've gone further honestly, should've given the Prussians their own country since they're the only Germans worth a damn.
Sure it was a Prussian who anally fisted Germany for good but it certainly would've been better than having a Bavarian like Hitler pound the final nail in the coffin for the German People

I may have it wrong, I remember reading he served with the Bavarian Army in WWI, also he was born in Austria right?

My grandmother was born in Eastern Prussia in 1939, she was only 5 years old when all of her family had to leave everything they owned behind and run for their life in mainland Germany. Her family was not very fond of Hitler and she was just a child. Tell me why you think they deserved to get their homeland and their properties stolen by the Russians.

come on now
The Prussians should've gotten their own country
>Hitler
>Bavarian
this is Veeky Forums, expect a lot of anti-German "memes" and bs
>The Prussians should've gotten their own country
Why? There was no Prussian language, no Prussian people and no Prussian culture (besides some military traditions). Prussia was always a monarchy based on the rulers and elites, not on the people.
Not talking about the Old Prussians from the Baltic ofc

Was the mixtec principality in the sea?!
I never understood why the Germans kept the pretence of an independent France if they took half of France anyway.
Why bother? Why not annex the whole thing and be done with it?
they didn't want a nation the size of france with such proximity to britain to go full civil war, so they heavily militarized the north (which was necessary anyways to defend from britain&friends), and set up and supported a semi-autonomous vichy france in order to keep relative stability, possibly to keep italy from going retarded and trying to call dibs on half of france
