Why wouldn't I just upload to a secure cloud service that offers the same legality? Cloud service is only entity that needs to store my data. They use an automatic backup and insure it.

Reminder that you have to pay IOC for storing files and it's not cheap. 40gb of files would probably cost you millions of IOC.
