Who has the best looking helmets before year 800 and why is it Swedes?
that's not how you spell danes
Hah! Good one.
*unsheathes falx*
*cuts your arm in one hit*
Psssh nothing personnel ostrogoth
Swedes weren't even Vikings. You were just shitty farmers. Norwegians and Danes did all the work. Hell, even the Rus and West Slavs were more Viking than Swedes.
Björn Ironside is literally buried a few km from where I live.
Also these helmets are from the Vendel Period.
t. Swede

ye the vendel stuff is pretty nice, but a lot of roman and other germanic exampels are equally good looking.
Also the best helmets all appear after 800

The rings are riveted as well, fantastic.
Jag måste runka.
Nice alternative history
Everything else is just a toy.
Hellenic helmets, obviously. Nothing beats a nice, crested Corinthian Helmet when you want to look your best. Pylos for casual warfare.
Corinthian is low tier.
The Konos and the Thraco-Hellenic is the best
Looks like someone mashed up the Pilos and Corinthian helmets, and put a feather on top.
I'll allow it.
this
It's weird how there are literally more runestones in Sweden about the western voyages than there are in Denmark and Norway combined even if you count Scania and Schleswig etc. as Danish
