Nope. It's a completely true story. I think the entire thing is just the transcript of the guy getting debriefed after he won the medal of honor.

The scholarship is probably outdated since it's from the '60s but the prose back then was max comfy.

It's from Folio Society. They make extremely comfy books. They have them for Babylon, Assyria, Hittites, Egypt, and the Celts as well. Some are only on Amazon at this point.
