Maybe I am in denial. But the research team is connected to Zcash which some say is connected to the CIA and is backdoored. The Dev of Zcash said something like he could have the coin be private and also make it easier to catch criminals. The connections of the team raises red flags and suspicions for me. Monero imo is currently the best user coin.
I am open to the idea that the future developments of the Verge currency, could one day best Monero however.
