Implying the dissolution of Iraq isn't already happening. Kurdistan will be a thing by 2019

Surrounded by powerful imperialistic neighbors. Common theme in the region.

Eh I think they have a bright future ahead, especially if the diaspora comes back home educated and helpful.

This.

Doubtful. The neighbouring coutries are making a unified effort to stop it. Turkey has russian backing, which makes their position even more difficult. Their only likely backer is Israel, which is interested in keeping the region disorganized.

Turkey can just say no and it doesn't happen. The USA, quite logically, favors them far more than a third world militia, and even the Russians and Iranians would be on their side.

They are a democratic socialist sheep in a pack of capitalist imperialist wolves. Capitalism will do EVERYTHING it can to crush socialist movements, just look throughout history.

if you prostitute yourself to the highest bidder you shouldn't be surprised when you get fucked

kurdistan might become a thing but it will never become a powerful state. the kurds just do not have the right mentality for it

Implying they had a problem. They horded Oil land and got buttblasted when the Brits wanted to put a little bit of administration in their ranks.

Should have just sided with the Brits and got rich off oil trade like the saudis and lived rich happy lives instead of rebelling.

Pretty sure the landlocked issue is what fucks them.

If Kurdistan ran all the way to Hatay, then they'd have a chance. Without a port, they'll never be able to fully monopolize on the oil reserves within their territory. It's also what makes Kurdistan such a non-starter geopolitically - it'd be hard to prop up a landlocked state surrounded by hostile nations. Iran is the only viable backer for a future Kurdish state.

Yes, goy, become like us and destroy your culture for some (((oil money)))

holy shit please never talk again if you choose to be stupid.

Actually the Kurds are getting their asses kicked by the Iraqi army right now.

The Peshmerga is fleeing and retreating. There are reports of fighting and Kurdish vehicles being burned.

Kurdistan will never happen. Back to getting shit on by the Turks in the mountains, the Arabs don't want you.

Kurds are a bunch of land-grabbing thieves who used the Daesh crisis to take Syrian and Iraqi land. Now that Daesh is largely gone, the Kurds are next.

>inbred stepperoaches that destroyed actual ancient mideast tradition
>""culture""
nah

This is true. The natives of the region are Assyrians and Armenians. The Kurds just came in, took over their land, and were like "muh ancient Kurdish homeland"

Look throughout the Cold War you mean at was mostly a rivalry between Anglo and Russian imperialism, not so much concern about "socialism" now except for "victims of communism" lobbies in the US. In fact socialization has always been seen as viable in the West and with the Russian imperialist threat being subdued, the practice of it now feels safe.

Where are all the armchair generals on /int/ and /pol/ to tell me about how Kurds where going to form a state any day now?

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mountain_Turks
They need to accept their true identity. """Iraqi Kurdistan""" is really Iraqi Mountain Turkistan, they need to unite with their big brothers.

The iraqi peshmerga are the ROC to the PKK's PRC. Their military-political structure is an impediment to their ability to fight.

what did he say that was incorrect

>en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mountain_Turks
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

It really redirects to Kurds

>What the fuck is their problem?

They're even less trustworthy than T*rks, so any and every possibility of a unified Kurdish independence movement is undermined by every faction's leader immediately selling out the others to a neighbouring power as soon as possible

> Iran is the only viable backer for a future Kurdish state.

What did he mean by this?
