With EU/US relations decaying, with EU nations growing turmoil, with Russia trying to split the US and the EU nations, US will not be able to defend all its interest (this means economic security/partnership). By 2020(3 years from now), the world economics will change in favor of China.

Again, you're not reading the posts proper. As stated above, China can match the US in the pacific within few years(~5-6 years). They can beat the US in about (10-12) years, IN THE PACIFIC. In about 30 years, China will probably compete with the US in the world stage. And by 50 years, one will eclipse the other. This is purely military speaking. On the economic side, things will be much further along the way in China's favor. In 15 years, China will double the US economy.

Japan felt pretty stiffed by the Treaty of Versailles. In order to get Japan to join the war, Britain promised Japan all of Germany's pacific possessions.

This included Qingdao, China, which the Japanese seized during the war. Japan then claimed the territory during the Versailles negotiations, which set off the Chinese, since they expected that Qingdao be returned to them. The US eventually pressured Japan to back off on it's claims in China during the Washington Naval Conference, but the Japanese were miffed.

At the same conference, the Naval treaty set the ratio of of capital ship tonnage allocated to japan at a ratio of 5:5:3:1.75:1.75 for the UK, US, Japan, Italy, and France respectively. Japan wanted parity with the US and UK, but both those countries refused. This enraged the IJN, which began to see the civilian government as an adversary and a limit on their rightful power.

Of course, the civilian diplomats were completely right, and Japan should have considered itself lucky to have a 5:3 ratio at all, considering the US and UK economy was around 20 times the size of the Japanese economy in 1922.
