Amusingly enough I have actually been to those hills, and even took a guided tour inside. Considering they spent 50 % of the time telling us about how "inside the mountain there are over 15 000 ions per cubic meter og air" I think anything from those people should be taken with a grain of salt. Though apparently normal "ion levels" are about 2000-3000 pr m^3, and even tibetian temples in the Himalayas only reach about 9000 pr m^3 (yes 9000, there is a joke waiting to be made here). Other than that they made a great show out of a rock which apparently is impossible to analyse with modern science, but they somehow know that it is both hollow and made by humans. How they got that information I don't know, maybe the ions told them. Further, they claim that layers of slate (which naturally are quite divided) on the outside of the mountain is proof that it is a stair-like construction. When I was there about 4-5 years ago they still hadn't found any markings, tiles or any other human presence, but the slate is layeered, so it probably is artificial. In the end I have to say it was a thouroughly amusing trip, and I truly believe that the extreme concentration of ions in the air is what caused these genious findings to be discovered.
