Does anyone know if dropshipping truly works and is as easy as they say it is?

If anybody has experience with the thing please tell.

I'm planning on testing the waters tomorrow by dropselling something on ebay just to see if it can work.

not sure if it works but on a related note (not sure if it relates though), i know someone who did the buy/sell things through Amazon. He invested 1k in juice pressers brought from alibaba and sold them for profit on amazon. He made 4x times his investment in less than 2 months.

>What is SEO?
SEO is the process of improving web pages so they rank high in search engines for a specific keyword phrase. SEO is divided in two categories: on-page optimization and off-page optimization. On-page optimization it refers to every method you use that change the page code; off-page optimization equals link popularity (more on this later)

>Choosing the right keywords
The center of optimization are the keyword phrase(s) for which you want a high ranking in search engines result pages (SERP’s). When you choose you keyword phrase you must take in consideration primarily your market (they must reflect what you sell) , the number of searches for it and the competition for that particularly keyword phrase.

Let’s take an example: you provide penis enlargement exercises. Using a keyword research tool you have these results:
>penis 70,388.0 /day
>penis enlargement 5,798.0 /day
>penis enlargement exercises 292.0 /day
>natural penis enlargement 141.0 /day

Many may try to optimize for “penis” due to its large number of searches. The problem with this keyword (other then the competition for it) is that is not targeted for your market, the people searching for this keyword might look for penis health related sites. Even “penis enlargement” isn’t going to bring the targeted traffic that “penis enlargement exercises” or “natural penis enlargement” will.

There are many other terms related to your market and, once they are found, an analysis of the competition and the searches for each term must be done in order to determine an optimal report between how competitive a keyword phrase is and how hard is to attain a top 10 position for it in SERP’s. You must keep in mind that:

-Search engines consider web pages not entire sites so optimization must be done for each page in particular;
-The more targeted a keyword phrase is the less traffic it gets, but that traffic will provide people interested in your product or service so the conversion rate is higher. This indicator is reflecting the percentage of people converted into buyers so the higher the better.
-Decide on two or three highly targeted phrases for each page of your site

That seems impressive
It just seems to me that dropshipping is the kind of thing that seems so easy on the outside, and therefore sucks in all the stay at home moms and hapless career women who are not meant to be such, kind of like 'MultiLevelMarketing'

And I would just want to get in BEFORE the time when you start to see old divorcees on blogs trying to justify the sleaziness of their craft with things phrases like 'it brings the customer to the products they want' or so

there must be better ways than dropshipping to make quick money

kek. Fuck I want to start shilling shit coins now!

wow

good post

I think you just need to accept that no matter what industry be it crypto, dropshipping, soft drinks, snapbacks - anything - you're not going to have the firstcomer advantage. So you just need to find a product/service that you understand with a customer you know you can capitalize on.

or just copy the shit out of some successful niche until you are popular enough

those dubs don't lie.
Don't they call that

?

exactly. Also

>Lower your learning curve by copying your competitors’ current creative success.

Im right now finding 3 of the biggest competitors in a niche which i found and just ripping off their landing page kek

what if I try to find a digital product like a e-book (which i didnt create myself) and promote it through my website?

I hate it when threads like this go unseen by most of Veeky Forums

Hey guys, get shilled by this guy to bump the thread:

Don't you know Veeky Forums only cares about crypto? To be honest they should rename this board to /bit/. Not Business & Finance but Bitcoin & Shitcoin.

Feel free to ask me anything, i'll respond when I wake up.

Yes it does work, but it's not for everyone.

You can't just set up your store then go jerk off, you need to have an idea of your audience and how you will reach them. Also free advice: Stay the fuck away from eBay.

buy chainlink

OP here. I'm not so interested in dropship (not criticizing) but more in setting up a website or landing page to advertise some product, be it physical or something like ebooks. Any advice how to start and what niche and target audience I can go for? Thanks

Oh I would like to try some Grey hat stuff like porn advertising and re-uploading videos, what ya think

Please don't shill crypto here. I'm in crypto. But I would like ideas on how to bring in one or more other streams of income. I'm one of the hapless sahm this guy talks about . But I like having my own income streams. I like playing with crypto but haven't had that big lamboland break. In any case I would like to see other ideas for bringing in extra money....and not scalping Christmas toys tier kind of shit.

...

For all the doubters in this thread, I've been dropshipping for the past 18 months and I'm starting to get the hang of it.

I am doing mostly SEO for marketing, focused on longtail keywords first, and after 18 months I just hit #1 for my niche's main keyword.

The dream is real boys, I quit my wagecuck job 1 month ago, we all gonna make it.

Unfortunately I put all my profits into crypto shit coins so I'll most likely die poor.

image related, my year-to-date revenue

The important thing is traffic, first decide how you're gonna get people to your site and go from, also be aware of all the blogs and shit telling you how easy it is to become a millionaire in two weeks, it's just filled with affiliate links to make a quick buck off of gullible people like the guy you replied to

Overused and done to death

there are several ways for traffic, free or paid one. Either Facebook Google ads or just through building audience in a white hat way organically but the latter takes more time. What would you recommend to get traffic?

What the fuck, you made 100k in sales and call that "getting a hang of it"? Also I hope you didn't really put all the money into crypto

why does it say 2016?

You got me. I missed on NEO

It works, but it's a pain in the ass sometimes. No BS Drop Shipping is a good channel for it.

I'm moved on from it to doing Amazon FBA and crypto.

What do you sell on Amazon?

About to launch my product. It's in the sex toy category, found a niche within it that was selling a decent amount per month but all the products basically look the same/very bland. Mine looks "very cool" so I hope it will outperform these others.

Nice. So you created it yourself? Did you have to invest a lot?

It depends on your budget, paid ads are a money sink and be prepared to spend a lot before you start being profitable. Free traffic is better to start out since it's free. When you're looking up info don't click on anyone's affiliate links and buy any "courses" or gurus or whatever, there's a lot of people trying to profit off newbies. Also dropshipping isn't the only way, you can try affiliate shit or putting ads on your site. The important bit about this is acquiring traffic and getting them to do what you want.

I have like 20 euro left kek. I have first to get some starting money to pay for a hosting.

No, a Chinese manufacturer I found on Alibaba that is able to put my label/design on it will make it. I have a friend who is a terrific graphic designer, and she did a terrific job on it.
Investment up front is about $1200. I HOPE to make around 2-3k profit per month from it, but we'll see. It has a great amount of shilling potential within Amazon and outside on forums/Instagram accounts as well.

The neat thing about this Amazon FBA is that you can run multiple products that are more or less passive income once they're all setup. I plan for a few that are successful and then invest in some good cryptos.

Late 20s here. Never had a job, income is 100% passive. App business + multiple web properties monetized across different verticals. My day to day life reads like a 4chin fantasy; AMA.

In what niche you did the app, also what Platform, in ios? Did you use something like swift?
Teach us your ways senpai

the reason there are a jillion headshops is that they all buy shit on dhgate and charge a 400% markup, sell cheap glass to local stoners who will pay a 4x markup to not have to wait 2 weeks for shipping. or find some other shit that's cheap if you order from china but takes a while to ship to you.

Nice. You're the exact kind if person I'd like to promote their products for a commission but I need first to have something to show for, like real traffic and a website. I'm a webdev so thats the easy part

Jealous af

Does money really buy happiness =^)?

Thanks! I won't setup a website, I don't think, as I will sell entirely in the Amazon ecosystem. I don't want to have any inventory on hand except to shill some samples to social media advertisers. Amazon can do all that, and with the mark-up I'm getting from what I pay the Chinese, their fees are very tolerable.

Damn nice. What is important in your opinion when you start with FBA?

I rent out properties and let my managers deal with making me profit

Finding a product that you think will sell in a niche that doesn't have too much competition but still sells enough products per month (and is not a trend/cyclical product, at least I wouldn't do those), and then making yours better, differentiating it somehow to get buyers. You can do product research for free with an app called Unicorn Smasher, which works okay, and then a paid-for one is called Jungle Scout, which works well.

There's a kid on YouTube with great info by the name of Tanner J Fox. He sells a course, but you absolutely do not need to buy it. He gives out pretty much all the info you need for free and you can fill in the rest/figure it out. He posts his figures and makes something like 140k a year off a number of Amazon products (and made over a million selling his course).

It's basically like this.

1. Find your niche product.
2. Go to places like Alibaba to find a manufacturer (make sure they've been on Alibaba a long time and accept PayPal) and find one that can do your custom label product (you either have to design your own logo or have a Fiverr do it).
3. Sign up for Amazon FBA and have the Chinese ship directly to an Amazon warehouse. Each time the product sells, Amazon takes around 15 percent but does all the storing, shipping, and returns.
5. Do Amazon in-house advertising with certain keywords. Say you're selling a woman's hair brush, so you'd pay Amazon to be on the top of the results for when someone searches "hairbrush" or "women's beauty" or whatever keywords you can think of. You can also advertise all throughout the web and/or get Instagram sponsors by giving them a free product/paying them some to shill your product - but only do that with those that have 50K + followers and are focused on the niche you're in (so I'll go after some sexually deviant instagram folk for mine, for instance).

Literally every category except games. iOS only as I have too many apps to deal with porting to other platforms, but hope to eventually. I don’t code at all, I hire devs to do the work. I literally just come up with ideas.

Why shoot the breeze about it when you can be about it.

Money doesn’t, but time and freedom do. So I am very happy.

Where are you hiring devs, and how can you ensure they just don't run off with your ideas?

Any freelance site. I don’t care if they steal my ideas, ideas are worthless. One developer even had my source code and threatened to give away/sell it, I told him to go for it because idgaf. People who covet their “good ideas” are 100% of the time people with terrible ideas, I could write a book about it desu.

What do you do with all your free time?

Read, play in cryptos (got in on Eth @ ~$10), cook, eat, workout, hang out with gf, travel if there’s a reason to. Majority of time is spent in diff places like hammock/beach/cafes just thinking up new shit I want to work on; new apps, sites, shirt designs, writing projects, etc.

>compared to

Bumppp

i just shill altcoins
made 300k so far this year while missing a shitload of opportunities
kek

>t-shirts
what the fuck am i reading? people are making tens of dollhairs a week trading cryptods here and you want to become a haberdasher?

Some people are making bank off Amazon Merch. It's a good program if you have enough designs that normies want to gobble up.

>Stay the fuck away from eBay.
Why?

Ebay fucks over sellers, huge fees, customers suck, tons of competition, etc.

What about amazon in this way?

I agree with this, and pretty much hate ebay. They charged me like 80 bucks in fees from 3 cellphone sales I made from scammers that never went through and won't get back with me.

But No BS Drop Shipping (channel), that channel still has a legit strategy (sniping all the big drop shippers on ebay).

Hot damn top right

?

ha ha ha

50k followers means nothing, you get cpm 0.3 then 0.1 buy, make the computation, in the end you gonna spend more money on ads that profit

if it was so easy how you think, everybody would be millionaire right now
