You don't understand the FREEDOM

No, they just fear the concept of liberty because they've never really experienced it. Keep in mind that Europeans were ruled by aristocrats for centuries, they are used to being under oppressive, authoritarian rule. Unlike America, which was architected by brilliant, educated men, European revolutions and bids for freedom were made by ordinary people who had only vague ideas of what true liberty was about. It's a tragedy that the only European revolution that had a similar foundation to America's was the French Revolution, but the raw paranoia and resentment of the people ended up eating the revolution from within, and the rest of Europe seemed to take it as an abject lesson on the dangers of intellectually based movements.

So what you have now in Europe is a people who fundamentally do not understand or appreciate liberty, because they've never experienced it. You try to explain to them that rights are natural and god-given, not privileges bestowed by the state, and they look at you with dull, uncomprehending eyes like cattle. In their mind all rights come from the state, the people only have what their government allows them to have.

So in the question of firearms, they do not understand why the government can't just ban guns. That's how it works in Europe, so obviously it must be the same in America right? They don't realize the reasons the 2nd Amendment exist, or why it's considered important, because the values that went into writing the 2nd Amendment simply do not exist in Europe. They have no concept of personal liberty, no concept of the cost of individual liberty or of personal responsibility.

In short: Europeans are slaves, they have always been slaves, and they will continue to be slaves, forever.

They literally aren't. I seriously doubt that you could find any commercially successful firearm on the US market today that was designed *specifically* to be used to illegally murder other people. To hunt? Sure. For self defense? Definitely. To just be fun to shoot? You bet. But not to murder.

Murder is a crime, guns aren't made to commit crimes. Guns are made to inflict violence on things or people for any number of reasons. Criminals will use them to murder and assist in committing other crimes, just as they use many other tools to assist in their crimes. The fact is you specifically do not like guns because they scare you, their capacity for instant death is terrifying and you are unwilling to accept responsibility for your own safety, so you want the government to make it all better somehow.
