All I see around here are crypto idealists and delusional kiddies who think that crypto is the future, crypto will change the world yadda yadda. Let me tell you one thing, kid. It's all a huge fucking bubble. All the fancy coins, all the fancy technologies out there have zero real life application. Once normies realize there is no more money to be made or governments decide to pull the plug - it's game over. Oh and don't get me started on all those retards throwing around phrases like:
-I believe in the coin I put my money in -The team is super solid -Technology is revolutionary
Dont make me laugh.
Personally, I only invested because I want some quick gains in hopes that the bubble doesn't burst before I pull out. Unlike you delusional fucks I'm fully aware that this kind of investment is only slightly safer than a dice roll in a casino.
Any other rational thinking people on here who see crypto the same way?
they're all bullshit. the only 2 cryptocurrencies worth existing are bitcoin & IOTA
Michael Murphy
>IOTA Inshallah hadji.
Jaxson Jenkins
>not believing in technology and that its progress literally cant be stopped
get out grandpa
Oliver Richardson
Been in crypto for a long time and I have to agree. The only coins that have any reason to exist are btc, eth and omg (if it can deliver)
These millions of other coins are nothing but bullshit ponzi schemes
Camden Morales
couldn't have said it better myself
Brayden Anderson
I had the same attitude as you towards crypto not that long ago, then I did some actual research and realized how much potential it has.
>or governments decide to pull the plug they can't
Joshua Rogers
>w-we are the f-fiat marines
Landon Murphy
Right but things can become economically sound. There are so many schemes, processes, institutions, professions, systems, organizations, and many BUSINESSES that could all be undermined by an economically and practically sound alternative. Of course the vast majority are schemes. No shit. The goal is to find NEW coins that have promising technology and ride those waves if you can and find the best coins that will actually be used.
Aaron Rogers
I have invested in crypto and been here for a long time.I have to agree with OP
Mason Edwards
desu I don't really care if cryptos take off or not, I'm just riding the waves. If I see the bubble popping I'll just cash out without hesitation. If they actually take off and replace fiat then I'll just keep them. I don't give a shit either way.
Christian Gray
I keep for a bubble
Robert Green
It's about 5 years too late for govt to "pull the plug". They maybe could have nipped the bud in 2011-2012 when crypto was still less than 1billion usd worth.
Brayden Bell
>they can't
Why not? All they have to do is limit or ban exchanges. Without a steady flow of fiat cryptos will be dead.
Adam Williams
>Let me just print some more money Fiat is more susceptible to jewish fuckery and morons. Crypto at least has a chance until they start locking things down with more regulations.
Charles Anderson
LOL get here everybody and say:
"I agree the only coins that will be here for the long term is Bitcoin and *MY BAG*"
Noah Baker
>country A bans crypto and all exchanges based there >in country B it's completely legal and exchanges accept international payments
such a ban only works in commie countries, and even then it's pretty easy to work around.
Alexander Cook
At least the dollar is STABLE. What do you get with a crypto coin? A hyper volatine piece of shit that can be down 30% in a day. What's even worse, that downfall can be cause by one single whale fucking with it. Zero regulations means total anarchy. Total anarchy means everyone does whatever the fuck they want. When did anarchy ever work out?
Cooper Scott
The country doesn't matter, if the jew decides it's a threat, the jew bans it worldwide.
Xavier Myers
Good luck getting all the governments around the world to agree on banning crypto at the same time. I agree though exchanges are an on and off ramp govt could certainly choke. It's too late though. You can't let something grow into an 80 billion dollar economy just to criminalize it
Daniel Gomez
I don't think it's a bubble susceptible to bursting.
Ethereum has applications as a global computer that is provably secure with a javascript style scripting language offering transactional atomic execution. The value to come from this is only beginning to be seen, and there isn't much the government can do about it.
Bitcoin is a store of value that is proven to be secure, that's it's only value.
Most ICO's are shit and really just securities in companies likely to fail.
Justin Campbell
lmao if you actually think this.
Adam Gutierrez
I'm a daytrader so I don't give a shit if it's worthless tomorrow. If I can make money off of it today I will.
Daniel Mitchell
Store of value is big but it's also a good global medium if exhange obviously and it is censorship resistant. The exact reason some people don't buy bitcoin "no central authority controls it" are the exact reason other people do buy it. Also you will be able to do smart contracts on btc blockchain as well so it's not just eth doing that. Eths platform will allow more complex contracts tho
Evan Adams
Dumb nigger if your portfoilio ends up worthless its worthless regardless what timeframe you're trading on
Isaac Brooks
OMG is underpriced right now as well
Brayden Martinez
It's called cashing out profits regularly ya dope
Jeremiah Gomez
Yea but eth has the same censorship and central control resistance that Bitcoin does, in addition to fast transaction times and contracting ability now.
Also I'm interesting in seeing the amount of bickering when implementing smart contracting on bitcoin, especially after the segwit/bcc fiasco.
Ethereum just seems technologically superior to bitcoin. Bitcoin has first to market advantage though.
Jacob Jones
It doesn't seem that btc will ever implement turing-complete smart contracts though. I don't think that's even a goal of the project?
James Peterson
Thats what literally every gambler says. The house always wins son
Lincoln Jenkins
I think so too
I think the problem with crypto is that as soon as you can't make profits anymore with the shitcoin ponzies, most investors will leave for good and left will be only the early investors who invested in bitcoin for ideological reasons.
That's why only btc and eth + projects like omg that actually have a chance of being used and therefore deliver regular dividends to investors have a chance of surviving
Jose Rogers
Yeah it’s all a pyramid scheme but if we can make some money in the process fuck it.
> muh tech
Juan Murphy
didnt you boomer fucks say the same thing about the internet?
Andrew Sullivan
YOU, my friend, are delusional. It isn’t the other way around.
just waiting till big banks have enough fun teabagging normies (like they always do) in unregulated market. than they will sell all the remainder to slowpokes and then the congress will ban coins for life. all the coins will fall back to pennies. goverments of the world will never give away control over money period. we can ride the bubble while it lasts though, but it will burst no question
Liam Young
I fucking hate government
Christopher Jackson
If you think crypto is a bubble, please explain how global debt isn't a bubble.
There will be another financial crash in the next 20 year. No-coiners, you have been warned.
I think ripple is a neat tech with some potential, but is it actually used for anything? If I own xrp is there anything I can do with it besides cash it out?
Gabriel Cook
they will probably come up with a story about how coins used in drugs, human trafficking and terrorism as excuse to ban it so the folks who hold can't protest
Angel Johnson
>governments decide to pull the plug Lol. Do some research kid.
By the way, no one cares about america or china anymore.
John Jenkins
At least I can pay to lick boots in USD
Brody Brooks
People said the same about computers in the 80s. Then the same about Internet in the 90s. Then about yet other internet shit in 2000s.
etc. etc. Sorry bruh, you're old and you're getting replaced. Bitcoin already went over a bubble a couple of years ago, it's not a bubble anymore.
Kayden Gomez
Some people still saying same thing about the data industry. Like corporations will ever not want to know everything about us lmao
Jason Carter
>when you're too young to remember the dotcom burst
Charles Clark
>Sorry dollar, you're old and you're getting replaced >next day two fbi agents knocking at your door "Sir please come with us"
Chase Hughes
Just buy the Apple or Amazon of crypto then.
Gavin Parker
Which is?
Anthony Reyes
>no one cares about two top economies in the world anymore year r-right homie..
Jayden Green
good thing we are in 1996 now
Brody Garcia
LMAO if you actually don't believe this.
Asher Parker
LTC and DOGE
Logan Cook
You're quite far from your containment board, /pol/lack.
Crypto is an advance on the technology of money, by being, at the least, a more energy efficient form of money. That alone makes it revolutionary. PoW is just a growing pain.
Zachary Jones
Would it be possible to make a private standard currency (no gold standard, please).
Connor Bell
>emergency meeting in White House >"hey guys we have 20.1 trillion in debt and i don't feel like returning it, let's print some dollars instead" >"no way John, i heard there's an advance in technology of money, let's give away our power to print dollars and let the plebs teabag us in the name of technology" things that will never happen
Ayden Smith
"Shit, you're right. Better shut down the internet, the medium by which crypto is distributed." Things that will never happen.
Hunter Butler
no value in currency which you can't purchase anything with
Hudson Howard
get rekt fucktard
Jeremiah Gonzalez
If they make possession illegal normies will never use it, and you could just as well sell drugs to make money
Ayden King
No value in drugs since they're illegal, right?
Dominic Wilson
touche. though people don't tend to live long and happy life selling drugs
William Lopez
There is very little chance of an international law being enacted that bans cryptocurrency worldwide, and enforcing it would be fiscally impossible. Aside from that, there is the multitrillion dollar black markets that will create perpetual demand for crypto, irrespective of legislation (obviously), which more ethically flexible "normies" will continue to speculate on.
All that would be achieved by the White House banning crypto would be to push it underground, into the hands of their enemies and countries with much greater willingness to optimize their national currency.
Grayson Gomez
>the only cryptocurrency worth existing is bitcoin fixed
Evan Mitchell
Only street niggers, trust me Goldman Sachs is making big dough on every corner
Cameron Phillips
>Why not? all they have to do is ban printing pressmanufacturers >Why not? all they have to do is ban car manufacturers >Why not? all they have to do is ban fax manufacturers >Why not? all they have to do is ban phone manufacturers >Why not? all they have to do is ban modem manufacturers
Lincoln Powell
There are lots of coins out there offering neat but not very essential services. It is crucial to keep reading and find something that you think the future world will need.
"The essentials will come regardless"
I personally recommend reading as much as you can about IOTA and NEM
James Ward
>comparing useful inventions with something that is an unnecessary threat to banks, governments and jews
Ryan Ross
You won't need to ban it worldwide, if you make touching cryptos legally as dangerous as touching drugs people will just ignore both or go to the latter.
I am not saying that would be a smart move though
Ayden Ward
i kno, coins are easy money for them. >1. buy the dip so hard it goes to the moon >2. dump the fuck out of it >3. cash out >4. stash some cash away, purchase the dip once again with remaining cash so it goes to the moon again >5. don't do it too often so the normies won't connect the dots. >6. repeat until the goose is cooked goverments are in because if plebs have too much money they can cause damage - like finance political party to push their interest. better keep the pleb poor enough so he won't complain and let friendly banks have that money. e a s y
Bentley Garcia
Kek
Henry Young
Well how about Monetha, Monero, Monaco, Tenx? or even BitCoin?
>implying these inventions weren't considered pointless fads and unnecessary threats to existing monopolies This is why you will continue being poor and mediocre.
Julian Ross
cherrypicked. you forget about thousands of inventions that failed because failures don't make exciting stories
