Be Micheal Collins

>Be Micheal Collins
>Be made into Director of Intelligence for the IRA during the War of Independence
>Basically make yourself commander
>Use Guerrilla Warfare and Ambush/Infilitration tactics; very useful against British Forces that did not know how to navigate the country or know the local populous
>All seemed well, very little Irish casualties against the highly rising number of British casualties
>Suddenly the lanklet LARPing plastic paddy yank known as Eamon De Valera comes back from America
>"COLLINS, YOUR TACTICS ARE MAKING US LOOK LIKE TERRORISTS"
>Takes control of the situation only to fuck up entirely
>Makes Brugha commander of the IRA
>Drops Guerrilla/Infiltration tactics; tries to make a legitimate army made up of farmers and untrained men
>Thinks the current IRA would be able to take on the full might of the British Army; Eamon declares himself the Irish Equivalent of King George V
>Number of Irish casualties skyrocket, IRA members from across the country getting interned and executed daily
>tfw Collins later gets shot by the same men who support this fucking tool
Why was Eamon De Valera ever taken seriously?

The only thing De Valera did right was irish neutrality. Anything else was either the result of someone else under his name or incredible fuck ups.

Michael Collins was one of the finest Irishmen to ever live. De Valera was a fucking darkie

Even back then, Amerilards loved pretending to be Irish

De Valera was taken seriously because he rejected a treaty they never should have signed, British opinion was decidedly against the war in Ireland with the black and tans killing the support, they got hoodwinked by the Welsh Wizard

FUCK DEV!!!
> Still haven't ever voted Fianna Fáil.

Dev rejected it because he wanted to radicalize the IRA and continue the war to grab power for himself. It was as square of a deal as they could have gotten.

>never should have signed

That was the best deal they were every going to get to avoid further bloodshed.

How many more dead irishfolk are needed to satisfy your blood lust?

>it could have been perfect.
>Ireland could have been a relevant nation with a fine economy and a proud history behind it
>Collins could have brought forth a new age for Ireland, one where HE was president, one where HE was the taoiseach
>We got De Valera instead
This is the worst fucking timeline for Ireland to be honest lads

So lads, if you had been Dev in 39/40, would you have agreed to join the war in return for the North?

>it could have been perfect.

It would still been filled with Irishmen. Nothing would have gotten done anyways same as today.

>How many more dead irishfolk are needed to satisfy your blood lust?

Not enough

Never enough

>>Ireland could have been a relevant nation with a fine economy
Well it kinda already is, one of the highest hdi in the world amd theyre fucking whipping the brist now that brexits going down

paddy is not renowned for his intelligence

Any lads here read Frank O' Connor's biography on Collins? It's called The Big Fellow. It's a good read for any Irishman .

>Any lads here read Frank O' Connor's biography on Collins? It's called The Big Fellow

A big fellow for you.

Was this before or after he orbited the moon?

>Thread about Irish politics pops up
>Angloboo has to automatically shit it up
At least have the decency to keep it all in one post before going on your agenda to ruin european civilization, Mosley

Calm down Eamon, all Anglos have a bit of Irish in them somewhere

It took like 70 to 80 years before ireland actually became what you say it is. In ither words somebody severely dropped the ball in the interim. I mean ffs like 3 or 3 million people left the country bu the 1960s if im not mistaken cause your country was so economically shit

>the "free" state cuckold unionists in this thread getting assblasted that their cork baby was BTFO'd by Eamon

Their economy is based on being a tax haven. When was the last time you ever used an item made or a service provided from Ireland?
