Not gonna post in Veeky Forums cause they're too spooky.

How do vests look like if you're Veeky Forums? Does it ruin your V taper? or turn you into a box

i have one that makes me look like a box but I bet if I got one smaller it would look better

pic from behind?

pants optional, only need to see the vest

Vests NEVER fit well, and will fuck up you taper.
Just give it up, and find something in a lighter material but with sleeves.

What kind of clothing can you wear thats as warm/effective as a jacket but shows off your gains?

>pic semi related

You need to be a big guy to pull that off.

Just about any classic thin to medium thick jacket works, from a moto jack to a fucking sports coat.
The important parts are the collar, to frame the face, and the drop, to showcase the shoulders.
You won't show your pythons, that just can't be done, but the waist drop is more important anyway.
What is your style, usually? And how warm are we talking about, anyway? There's just so much variety, as long as you keep it boring you'll find something that shows your body the best.

Vests are practical garments for working outside or hunting. They keep your core warm while granting free use of the arms. It's not a fucking fashion show innawoods.

Vests are comfy as hell but they won't show your gains

casual, normie tier style to wear at uni etc.

Warm for like 5C, with t shirt and a thin jumper underneath

sports coat would be too formal

can anyone redpill me on wearing collars over tees as a decently muscular guy (packed on a couple pounds from my bulk, cutting right now). What types of collared shirts are best for Veeky Forums casual wear.

Single breast jacket, turnover (think dress shirt) collar. In leather (maybe if you're into thrifting), waxed canvas (you can probably find something at a milsurpl), or wool-cotton cardigan (that would be the easiest one to find).
You just have to find something that fits right, or can be altered a bit.

>waxed canvas jacket
not a bad idea hadn't considered it

>wool-cotton cardigan
I feel like this wouldnt block the wind, even thick ones. too porous

fashion for Veeky Forums men is a subject that never gets talked about but needs to be.

I see built men walking around in light blue shorts and a under-armour compression shirt.
that sounds ok for the gym, but no. this was in a restaurant.

The Veeky Forums sticky will tell you everything you need to know about colors.

for jackets you should look at some collard bomber jackets, make your shoulders and traps look large, not to square and goes with almost anything.

If you are dressing for a formal event and you are a big guy (for you), do NOT wear a full suit, always go for a shirt and waistcoat, that way you won't look like pic.

With plain t-shirts, always go for tapered, it might cost a couple £ more but its worth it as normal fit becomes baggy at the bottom and ruins the look.

Also don't go full pianoman. edgy snapback, wifebeater, baggy 3quartr length shorts and basketball shoes.
it just makes you look like a manlet.

dont bomber jackets kind of balloon out at the gut?

The guys in your pic look like they're ready to go on a bizarre adventure of some sort.

What about peacoats?

Are they still the fedoras of coats?

>tfw went to a formal party looking like that
Jesus Christ, I felt terrible watching the pics the day after, any more tips for formal wear?

I fucking knew it, you sneaky bastard!

Tempted to keep the gfs cardigan

why do cardigans always give off a homo vibe?

Also it sucks trying to see how clothes look liek by googling images cause some things look completely different if you're Veeky Forums

Chubbies shorts are goat
>soft
>comfy
>show off dem glutes

They def do, theyre feminine, looks good if youre comfortable in it though
Youve got to try everything on unfortunately, online is hit and miss

>Youve got to try everything on unfortunately, online is hit and miss
Im not even talking about buying specific items online.

Like its hard to find Veeky Forums guys wearing say peacoats. I want to see how particular clothing styles look on people who lift. Before I go research what stores have sell them and go out and try them.

maybe Veeky Forums can make a wiki on how clothes look on lifters

Like? Unless youre massive then everything looks pretty normal

pants

They're kinda gay

>20 year old frat boy starter pack

You know, the bigger part of dressing decent IS actually height-face-frame.
Pants are all about making you look taller.
Shirts all about emphasizing the face.
Jackets all about giving you more shoulder and less paunch (frame).

And some go against that, breaking or reversing completely the rules, but that's the basics.

how to choose pants that make you look taller?

how to avoid pants that make you shorter?

You mean like a polo shirt? Nothing wrong with that as long as it's not extremely tight. A well-fitting polo usually makes your arms look good too.

What brand are those? I like them

not sure its from aliexpress

High rise (but not clownishly so) pants, with a minimal break, no cuffs, flat front, well fitting and not diaper-like.
Basic, boring, makes the leg look as long as it's possible.
Be careful, if you go too high you'll look stupid, or too leggy and spindly.

shti I dont know if this will work

I have a short torso compared to legs even though Im a manlet

then keep it natural.
men supposedly look best with the waist at half height, but I'd go slightly higher, low rise pants focus too much on your behind and break frame.
try some low and high rise pants, and see for yourself, ON yourself.

>6-7 colors for the top
>short-shorts
The middle one is kinda cute.
Full homo.

So I had a look and it seems like my best bet is to get either a thick jumper/Cardigan. Cardigans look pretty gay though.

Or get a bomber jacket or waxed cotten jacket (pseudo military looking)

kind of depends on how you have it hanging on you, if you zip up the botom to just above the bellybutton it will give a v impression, put together with a light gray shirt will make the v stand out more.

If you are a skelly and want to look bigger you can have it unzipped and the collar closer together than the waist (pic related), but few people can pull it off without looking skinny-fat.

best thing i can tell you is to have a friend go with you, make sure you get something that fits well (including leg, baggy pants look awful), and make sure the colors are earthy tones (black, gray, dark brown) with a nice coloured tie to make it pop.

>cardigan
>with jersey shorts

amerifats i swear

Also you have 2 main tipes of mens bomber jackets, thin and poofy.

the thin one is better for big guys, the thick one is better for skellys and lanklets. but again its all down to how you look.

I fucking hate those longline shirts.

yeah I don't like the sized layer trend either, always go for well fitted.

Veeky Forums here

>they're actually buying gilets

not till i'm at 32
2 to go

Lol id just woken up

Cop or drop senpais

depends,
how tall are you?

1.82m, size 45 :3

a little risky at that hight, you don't want to look like a manlet trying to hard.

go to a shop and try them on, see if they look any good in person.

i need this jacket on the left. im having visions bro.
where can i get uk?

Peacoats look like shit anyway, desu familia

its the ASOS Bomber Jacket With Removable Fleece Collar.
not sure where they will sell it, have a look around.

cheers user.

I had a pair of Roshes when they first came out like 5 (?) years ago, they didn't look weird.
I don't have a nike store close by, so i'll have to order them. :(

I wear basketball shorts 24/7.

Yes, even at the gym.

nice reaching, eurofag

The golden rule for mens clothes is always function over fashion, I cannot stress this enough. Pea coats were designed for cold nights at sea so don't wear one unless it is winter or you are a sailor and for god sake don't wear it with raggedy jeans.

>function over fashion

Cardigan dosen't work with shorts, otherwise nice color palette.

>Veeky Forums will ignore the importance of heating your core because it's not trendy

Are those calves nice or is the angle deceiving?

Ok, slightly euphoric turn of phrase but I stand by my point. Wearing a hat that doesn't keep your head warm or keep the sun from your eyes looks retarded. In the same way wearing a formal suit for no reason looks autistic or how wearing flashy, pointless things like neon snap backs looks aweful

If that was the case every man would be wearing sweats and crocs with socks.

>gives the company name
>dunno where they sell it
I swear to Christ user

Asos.com

Reminder that even one of the biggest men in the world can look decent in a suit. Just have to get an actual good cut for a big guy.

Art used to be something to cherish.

Now, anything is art. This eyebrow tattoo is art.

>Art used to be something to cherish.

sure

Problem here: ill-fitting suits. In this case specifically: Both are wearing jackets that are too long on the sleeves and at the bottom. Both are wearing pants that are way too loose and wide. They look like children because they did not buy well fitting clothing.
Also: too many buttons. Two buttons. Three if you want to try something else. Five ist too much.
If you don't know how a suit is supposed to fit when shopping for one, take your mom along. You might feel retarded while shopping but at least you won't look retarded when wearing the suit.

How can I buy a hoodie without looking autistically wide?

My hoodie looks incredible wide since i got the back gains, it looks like i'm incredible overweight kek

As a big guy (4u) I only have one solution when I need to look formal or semi-formal: a black linen shirt. It goes well with jeans as well as it does with dungarees or dress pants. Obviously, it only works if your skin is not the color of shit.

I normally just wear a North Face insulated jacket desu unless its hot then I don't wear a jacket. For going out though I have a trim fitted black denim jacket that looks pretty good with a T shirt. I want to get one of those black collarless bomber jackets that everyone wears now but a slim fitting one so it doesnt puff out at the waist

Pollock had more understanding of visual principles than you ever will

Holy shit this is the worst fucking advice ever.
That's an exaggeration, but not a good idea.
Wear a black shirt if you wanna look like a server.

The fittest of fa

Gains or no gains, vests scream "douchebag". No hate though if that's what you're going for.

Black shirt + blue jeans is an excellent combo. Just do not be a retard and unbutton it to your navel or decorate it with anything. Italians do that kind of shit and ruin this fine piece of clothing.

>marina abramovic tier painter

Crocs aren't very functional desu
