I don't know what you're all bitching about. My first year I bulked hard, gained 20 kg. In the mirror I just looked fatter but I pulled more weight in the gym. Did a 10 week cut and looked preatty good. I'll bulk for another year now and then cut down untill shredded. What's the fucking problem?

Get your shit together, retard. This is literally the #1 excuse we hear in every single thread. You don't know shit about how many calories you've been eating. You've probably been 1000-2000kcals over your TDEE on some days.

Secondly, get bodyfat caliper and a tape measure to measure waist circumference and bodyfat%, don't trust a scale. Water-weight, digestion etc influences the scale too much and makes results relatively meaningless except over the course of months

You also need to know what your TDEE is exactly and then make sure you're hitting exactly the amount of calories you want to go above it.

Since you probably don't have a clue, start with this; use a TDEE calculator, use the number it spits out, eat EXACTLY that amount of calories each day for a month. Observe weight/bodyfat% changes.

Now you can infer your true TDEE.

Now to bulk, slowly raise caloric intake by 100kcals/week until you start gaining muscle/weight, usually what you want is somewhere between 200 and 500kcal over TDEE

also, if you haven't been lifting for at least a year, you shouldn't even think about bulking anyway, because if you just lift heavy, you will build muscle no matter what

If your TDEE is above the 2k range you can cut as much as you want as long as it's reasonable.
If you're below it, 100 at most on a weekly basis.
While you can cut more, you run the risk of a lot of side effects. Mainly low energy levels, low libido, and depression.
No point in cutting if you can't make it through your usual activities and enjoy your life.
Only fatties will argue to cut extreme amounts.
They can afford to.
