The one I go to when I'm at my dad's doesn't have one, unfortunately. So, if I'm there for a month+, I'd be SOL without one

Hilarious

sumo deadlift is a meme lift for IPF lifters to increase their total

How does the weight progression on sheiko work? A friend told me you add 6.25lb every cycle but that doesn't seem right

what is the purpose of chalking up the entirety of his legs? or is it just chalk residue from hands?

>ywn play kh3

Isn't even tasty looking bait.

It's probably baby powder, which mitigates friction.

>chalking up the entirety of his legs?
>chalking
>chalk

...

>hunting with a rifle isnt allowed in Ohio

lol @ ur nanny state

You test and see how much you can add.
For skill tests he recommends 105-110%.
And then you do a meet where you obviously try your best.

There are no fixed increases in the program.

It's baby powder

It prevents the refs' hands from slipping when they fuck him.

Correction, 100-105%

When is it coming out? Sometime soon, I hope?

This website downloaded gay porno on my grandas tablet? how do I remove it please help! hes gonna think im gay!

my new computers sound card is soooo good holy FUCK what a difference that makes

>sound card
L o l

When half life 3 comes out.

It was shown at E3 last year though, so it's doing better than HL3 so far

whats so funny pleb? let me guess you think it doesnt make a difference? well i objectively now know there is a difference
pleb pleb pleb

question lads: today I tested DL 1RM at the end of doing Nuckols 2x intermediate for the past 4 weeks. My training max was 360 (lbs sorry) which was an estimated 1RM minus a bit. I did 93%x1 (335x1) as a warmup. Then I put 370 on and couldn't budge it. I took off some weight but still couldn't do shit, couldn't even do 340x1 at that point which is weird. Did I just overfatigue myself warming up with 93%? Or should I do more/less deadlift volume/a different program?

So lads why is it that France being shit at military affairs caused literally everything in the 20th century

>France gets literally deficated on in the Franco-Prussian War
>Revanchism is guiding policy for French foreign affairs going onward even through ww1 and ww2
>Revanchism promotes France being in the Triple Entente to alienate Germany
>This is what draws France into WW1
>Frances revanchism promotes their mistreatment of German in the treaty of Versailles
>Which caused the rise of Hitler
>Lasting Revanchism causes war mongering and France/Britian starting WW2
>Which let the Soviets gain so much power post war and started the Cold War

Why did France cause everything

>rest day
not gunna lie, kind of need it. going for PRs tomorrow and i think it's going to be pretty easy to make the 120kg squat for 5 and the 130kg conventional deadlift for 5.

but i'm worried abvout the 80kg bench for 5, it took me so long to go from 75 to 77.5.

>130kg conventional deadlift

France was bankrupted by the American war of independence, it fucked up their economy for a long ass time

>Rasputin is going to outsquat Rippetits soon
I'm not sure whether to congratulate you or berate him.

for 5 reps

my sumo deadlift is at 145kg for 5 reps. tested 1rm is 155kg.

Only started conventional dl a month or so ago

>I don't understand history: the post
2/10 made me respond

long dick rasputin, is that you?

1rm squat is 122.5kg, i'm going to out 5rm that soon. more frequency really works.

Because the French are awful people.

More accurately, bankrupted by a series of conflicts, primarily against Britain, starting with the Seven Years War and continuing on and off for basically the next century.

Of course, had France actually gotten the Versailles Treaty it actually wanted things might have been very different post-Great War.

>5RM is 10kg less than 1RM
U fkn wat m8

Yes
>mfw i look worse now at intermediate lifts than i did at novice lifts when this pic was taken

why is he so fat and not even lifting as much as that small black child?

Good. Crush him so he stops whining about his diet and starts trying.

The French are cucks. Not as cucked as Sweden or Germany, but pretty damn close.

it's been a while since i did 1rm tests. going for 1rm PRs on the 18th

and me now at intermediate lifts

This I'd like to know. Makes me lose all respect for these fucking fatties, when they're not even athletic. The current IPF 93kg deadlift is higher than classes above it.

>Rasputin
>me
>the "perennial loser" himself
>not the worst power-lifter on the site

that's fucking awful...

what the fuck man i literally thought you were just a meme. long dick rasputin is a real human

Do any of you power snatch?

>shitting on yourself to force you into trying harder

I like it

>/owg/ is down the hall m8, here's your coach

prove literally anything I said wrong

thats 100% cause and effect

If Gibbs moves up to 93, will he be able to compete with Norris?

Power ur mums snatch last night m8

Sumner goodlift.info/lifter.php?lid=6295
Bell goodlift.info/lifter.php?lid=5044

Bell is just very good at deadlifting.

I do.

That little bit of fat can easily be lost later on senpai.
You're getting stronger and building muscle mass. That's what matters the most.
Make the most of the newbie gains.

Any good training literature that you recommend lads? I've read
Thoughtful pursuit of strength
Practical Programing
SS
Squat Every Day
Science of lifting
Relax into stretch
Supple Leopard (forgot most of what I read)
Westside manual
Other shit

I'll probably finish art of lifting then move on to squat manual

Any good recommendations?

The current 93kg record is higher primarily because Kryz was handed white lights for a lift he didn't actually complete.

That aside, the dude is a Coan-level genetic freak. He locks out with the bar still on his knees.

The Spotoshot Method 2.0
Trying Harder: A Practical Guide
Why the Safety Squat Bar is Better Than the Stupid Shit You're Doing, third edition

Even kryz didn't think he got the lift

It's fine m8, my gut and face have been bloating up since I started bulking but all that really matters is that I'm still adding weight to the bar.

Cutting is fucking easymode once we're done, the worst thing about it is stalling in the gym.

WHERE THE FUCK IS THAT PLEB WHO THOUGHT SOUND CARDS DIDNT MAKE A DIFFERENCE

I WANNA TEAR HIM A NEW ASSHOLE

Mean ol' mr. gravity is pretty funny. More laidback Rippetoe.
Science and Practice of Strength Training by Zatsiorsky and Kraemer is pretty good. They do have a different approach to some stuff than Rip, so it's a good counterbalance to Practical Programming.

Defying Gravity by Bill Starr
FIT by Lascek, Kilgore and Hartman
Supertraining by Verkhoshansky and Siff

but you're a powerlifter

the current weight on the bar is never enough

the bulk is never complete

the cut will never start

Why the fuck did he when they redlight perfectly good lifters like Mike T? Bastards must've had their eyes closed, napping or something. Why hasn't the IPF invested in video replays yet?

How to correctly use the smith machine

It true.

GET BIG

LIFT BIG

Who knows, the lift could have looked alot different from the judges positions than we as the spectator saw.

I have only done power snatches
Best was 100kg iirc :( the ohs position is scary. Muscle snatches are really fun too

Screenshotted, thanks

Don't

EAT BIG

>the bulk is never complete

But I don't wanna go SHW at 5'9-5'10. Once I look in the mirror and want to kill myself because of how fat I am the cut will start, which is probably gonna be close to 200lbs.

My 5 RM is still 295, so it'll still be a bit for him to actually out squat me. Don't really mind though, my deadlift, bench, and ohp are way better than his. I'm a shit squatter, and I'm still trying to fix my form. Good for Rasputin desu, glad he's getting some progress.

>Tfw no ssb

Impossible to know why that got the whites. The only video from the event is from a different view than the judges had, so fuck knows what it looked like to them.

>295
that's lbs, 133.81kg

I am only 13.81kg off matching your 5rm assuming i make tomorrows lifts. what are your 1rm lifts in kg?

>the cut will never start
The meme that weight loss is detrimental to strength comes from the fact that the majority of lifters don't understand nutrition, nor do they track macros, and end up losing weight too fast.

No tested 1 RMs. Stats right before cut were
145x4 ohp (65.9 kg)
250x3x5 bench (113.6 kg)
365x5 sumo deadlift (165.9 kg)

also, the cut starts when suddenly you are in a new weight class

Did you used to do a brosplit before you got on SS? I still can't understand how good your bench is compared to your other lifts

>not screencapping the disgust face

Biomechanics of Skeletal Muscles by Zatsiorsky and Prilutsky is also pretty good... though that's about science and not very much directly about actual lifting.

I can always use more technical knowledge.

Maybe the rest of you are just spectacularly substandard benchers.

Do people on here actually read? That's pathetic.

Definitely the case for me, always had trouble making progress on when everything else shot up easily towards the start.

i aint never seen you read a book before in your life boy

what kind of roids do you have to be on to look like 45 at age 28?

I did PPL for a while, only progressed my bench in a period of 3 months, from 155x3x8 to 185x3x8, while cutting. Starting squat was 185x3x8, got it to 225x3x8 by overtraining (seriously), went back down to 195x3x8 after a while. Dealt with itbfs for months, so I wasn't able to put much effort in my squat, and constantly was plagued with bicep/wrist flexor tendinitis, so my progress was shit. Basically had none. I just feel like I respond well to anything when it comes to benching and, to a much lesser extent, ohp. Even while cutting, the only lifts I seem to be progressing with is bench, and less so, ohp.

If only someone could teach you about the greatest bench program of all time.

You're on a website that's based around reading

CANDITO 6 WEEK ADVANCED BENCH PROGRAM?

my sound card is sooo good holy kek yall jelly?

Also had zero deadlift progress for months because I JUSTed myself with a bulging disc when I started deadlifting, due to improper form. Conventional was always a struggle, but when I switched to sumo, I was able to 10 lb LP from 275x5 to 365x5

>overtraining
you mean training properly?

Candito is not exactly a benching role model...

Don't be absurd, it's obviously the Bulgarian method - the high frequency squats will release growth hormone and make his upper body grow.

It was a joke but you have to admit, his benching program is good. I mean, it got candito himself to see an increase after stalling for a year

I working out 6 times a week, adding 5-10 lbs a week to my squat, and getting to the point where I felt like I would pass out after the first squat rep of the first set. Pretty sure it was overtraining. It was definitely overreaching, since my squat plummeted down 30 lbs after taking a week or two off to recover properly.

Yes, it's an excellent book. Probably one of the best and most enlightening reads I've ever done, always go back to it all the time.

Anyone here do Layne Norton's PH3? My friend did it, his lifts all went up a good amount.

I tried it. It's too difficult for me. I'm a pussy.

>enlightening

Cuckols FREE programs???

>JUSTing yourself while just starting deadlifting
That must've been discouraging as fuck just starting out. At least you found what works for you and recovered now so you can avoid more JUSTs in the future

I managed fine, didn't even know it was a bulging disc until after 8 months or so, when I got an MRI.

>squat plummeted down 30lbs
>recovering properly
'no'

>imagining a cute girl sitting by a fire reading a book on powerlifting

>6 second pause

wew

I was so fried man, it was ridiculous. Nothing I've ever done has ever come close to the difficulty of that, not even my retarded deadlift programming I did when I found out I had a bulging disc.

>most enlightening reads
This is why I don't read.

I don't know what's better, a bulging disk or two years of depressing analysis paralysis causing a weak deadlift

What did your deadlift programming look like?
