oh i forgot i have to act mature on this taiwanese sewing board

>three moles on face
>thinning hairline
>no facial hair
Dude is more like a Josh than a Chad.
Joshs' are a dime a dozen.

All those shows are fucking bullshit. I've worked in one of these fields. Woking for 12-14 hours a day isn't glamorous.

you don't have to, i just thought it was ironic how you were calling him a 15 year old while acting like one haha

>no facial hair
It's called shaving

Difference is the show doesnt try to make Don 'cool'. He just is. Harvey is just some faggot and the show forces his 'coolness'

but that's a show made for faggot losers who think working in advertisment is this cool-hip lifestyle where you get to act smug and do your hair for 3 hours in the morning

>implying this isn't alpha

>Manlet jew

'no'

kek

>A fucking corporate shill for a tobacco company who smokes cigarettes like there is no tomorrow.
>Alpha
Pick one and only one.

If I wanted to become a laywer for the money, would it be worth it? Considering it as a career desu. Not because of any tv show, but because I currently work shifts at a hospital and I just want a nice day job with high income.

pretty sure it's a really saturated profession

>cigarettes are bad because I plan on living forever

I quit smoking like 2 or 3 months ago and couldn't be happier, but you do you man.

I dont even smoke at all, I just dont care if other people do

oh ok, yeah i don't mind as long as they're a considerate smoker.

About 2% of all lawyers work in big law and make a six figure salary; they come almost entirely from the top 10 law schools. The rest are split between small private firms, public work, and unemployment. The work hours for private are about 80 hours a week until you make junior partner, the salary is about 60k. Public work is a steady 8-5, but the salary starts around 40k~45k. After you take out how much you're paying in grad student loans, most lawyers would've been better off plying their undergrad for work. This is all assuming you pass the bar exam, which if you have any smirch on your record you will be failed automatically because you don't pass the character & fitness investigation (which they don't bother to do until after you've already graduated law school).

Damn near everyone in law school thinks they're going to work in big law.

>considerate smoker
What do you mean?

smokers who:
> move away from babies and little kids while they're smoking
> put their butts in the bin -- realistically at least when one is in close proximity
> don't light up a smoke while in someone elses car or house unless they get permission
> smoke downwind of others

stuff like that

>alpha

German/UK law student here, currently studying for finals. Don't do it. I think there's no country worth working in where there's a functioning legal education system in place. The market is absolutely saturated. In America/UK, all that counts is the school you've been to. So if you got good grades, you get to go to Oxbridge or the LSE, and you're basically set, because it's nigh impossible to fail the exams there and big law firms will want to have you afterwards. I'm doing English law on the side in an external programme from a lower-tier university. A friend of mine went to the LSE one year, wrote land law, got out top of his class. In the same year, he had to do land law again - this time for his grade at the external programme - and failed. He resat the exam and barely passed. So not only will he (and me) graduate from a low-tier school, but also with much lower grades than we'd get if we went to a top-tier law school. That way, there's no chance of proper competition.

In Germany, the system is also flawed, but in a different way. Anyone gets to do law, and after 4 years of studying more than 30% don't pass the final exams and leave empty-handed. From the rest, only 15% get marks that even make them eligible to go to a top law firm. And then they will be working more than 70 hours a week and basically throw away their life for the firm.

I swear to god, going to law school was the worst decision of my whole fucking life. Not that I don't like law itself, but the way it's institutionalized - both legal education and legal careers - makes it the most terrible choice anyone who has anything to offer to the world could ever make.

Sorry, needed to vent.

In top 10 law school--> it's true that the market is saturated. But think long term, go to law school--> get into a firm (£74k and climbing per year) + get your connexions and skills--> jump to another law firm? --> 5 years later go operations for Private Equity with your damn near invaluable skills supposing yo picked a proper field to specialise in. 8 years and you'll be rolling triple digits easily even if you went low tier law. Of course if you were Oxbridge you could get £90k NQ (so within 5 years of now). It's all about how you hustle

You realise Chad has zero class and is just a jock. I don't know how you can get that confused unless you're new. Just because he is white it doesn't mean he is Chad lmao

Or just think outside of the box. Go to truly international jurisdictions like HK or Dubai, not the cliched City/NY/Cali/LA firms. It's the new legal gold rush in Dubai with everyone haven-ing their cash and business. HK has been that way for ages with full NY rates + 15% flat tax hnnnng don't even need to speak the language. Do shipping and get an iron rice bowl (as far as oil goes) with each arrest netting you £30k and the opportunity to work 3 jurisidctions at once (actually is pretty compulsory to be qualified in a few). Basically Law is pretty cool if you know how to game and network. You need to socialise for contacts but the payoff it's awesome. Security + ££. You'll never get IB salary but you won't deal with the whole Goldman firing bottom 10% every year schtick

thing is, even if you make it to the top law firms, you're not living the good life. In Germany, top law firms pay 100-125K right off the bat (that's Euros I'm talking about). But is it worth it? You'd have to work your ass off to even make it there, and when you arrive you find out that the work has just started. You neglect friendships, hobbies, your gf, and in the end you got a couple hundred thousand bucks that you can't spend properly because your spare time is so limited. What's the point? Money is nice, but as soon as you see how much of your life you have to sacrifice to get it via a law career you realize that time is much more valuable, and money without time is worthless.

Smart people go into STEM. Make good money on fair conditions. In law you make either good or no money, but always on ridiculously unfair conditions.

>Smart people go into STEM

have those 3? you're chad. Dont have them? You're thad.

>he fell for the stem meme
Enjoy having a pajeet with a H1-B steal your job because there aren't enough "qualified" Americans

Oh yeah that's totally true- I agree with you 100%. But it's the same in most corporate jobs: you're just a cog in the machine. Does STEM pay enough for the high life at junior level? It's a trading a consistency of monotony with the occasional excessive binge. I intend to get out and go inhouse after 8 years or so once I've made my nest-egg. I feel like younger guys will like the full degenerate lifestyle of new money before they hit 30 and decide on suburban wife kids car

pol pls go

Will this posture make me into an alpha?

>I feel like younger guys will like the full degenerate lifestyle of new money

how degenerate can you get working 80 hours a week?
Not much. Having a relatively shitty (but good enough to sustain yourself and still be able to throw some away) job that doesn't take all of your life will give you much more enjoyment.
You won't really be able to enjoy your corporate earned big money until you get close to retirement. But your kids will probably have great lives, if you decide to get kids.

lol and she probably texted him later that night (after he got kicked off) like "hey ;) these guys are losers, I need u in my bed rn"

only an issue in IT, pajeet engineers really are shit tier and every employer knows it

>WHAT IS QUALITY OF LIFE
You're a dumbass kid

>marketing
>alpha
LMAO

he's pretty based tho

No, this is a boring fuck who boring fucks aspire to be because they can't handle life without everyone's approval.

I dunno man, but why dont you choose something you enjoy doing? Im studying law and Im having the time of my life, worling w/ my father too (a lawyer). But its hard work and dedication, you wont make it if you dont like it.
