H-how do they change weight by turning a dial? What sorcery is this?!?
Eli Hughes
At academy? I am really trying to hold out until black friday or some big sale, because I've read the reviews and they go pretty low sometimes.
Christopher Morgan
You need to be gentle with them. Drop them once and they are fucked mate.

There are spokes and slots in them and when you rotate the dial, it allows a certain number of sections to detach from the main weight.
Justin Hernandez

First one isn't chinese quality and is more compact (20mm less depth) which is good because it's going in a small room, has plenty of reviews of which the majority are positive.
Second one is $250 cheaper (after discount), has 35mm spotter spacing compared to 50mm on the first one, a seemingly better pullup bar and second set of jhooks which would cost an extra $80 if I wanted them for the first rack. Can't find a single review for this one, though.
My ideal rack would be the first one with an extra ~20cm height so I can OHP in it so I don't have to take the barbell out every time which would be annoying in a small room, but I can't find anything like that that isnt extremely expensive.
Which of the two should I choose, or any other suggestions?

Bumper plates are nice, yeah. A little expensive, though, so if you can't afford it or your budget's tight spend your money elsewhere.

Hey Ausbro, actually own that second one. Works a charm, strong, reliable and no fuss. Make sure you got a second to help build it though, makes everything so much smoother.
Grayson Evans
just buy the plates and the db bars apart and it'll be cheaper

anyone got a dumbbell-only routine for homgym?

I want to know this too.
