It is just a revenue raiser AND you get paid dividends from their exchange and payment gateway for holding the coin.

They have a bunch of coins in supply and in my opinion they will let the price of the coin rise, then dump some, then let the coin rise, then dump some, and on and on to further fund their projects

As the exchange grows, the dividends are greater, and the coins value goes up to reflect this.

At some point, all the coins will be released and as the exchange grows it will be pure gains for the COSS token holders

So the token is essentially a security
