I find that coffee helps. generally, after a cup or two in the morning, I feel the need to shit, and it's usually very smooth. if firmer, like type 4, if looser like type 6.
also seconding with oats and lentils, especially lentils. top quality shit producer, one of my favorite things to keep around in general.
