Buddy of mine is Eastern Cherokee who grew up on the Rez and we often talk about this. Some people are really angry about it but they rarely leave the rez and often just stew in their anger and hatred with drugs and alcohol and don't do much. The people who don't let it get to them and just accept it and try to assimilate do the best. Most Native Americans have a surprisingly realistic view of their own history since they actually read about it and cannot miss events that run contrary to both narratives, they hold the old school liberal view that we are all individuals who had no say into which culture we were born etcetera. They are good wholesome citizens who believe in America and believe in freedoms and will continue to be until their kids have been sent through commie colleges.
