I need to keep progressing on horizontal pulling movements.
Should I continue using the same weight and focus on slower reps?

this is why barbells > dumbells/machines etc

barbells have infinite progression, you wouldn't have this problem if you were barbell rowing.

Slower reps help, remember its time under tension is what counts.

machines are good thought because you are under constant tension with each rep.

Also, barbells exist, but yeah, paused reps are pretty dope if you absolutely refuse to learn a barbell row variation (or otherwise back movement, may I suggest snatch grip rack pulls?)

Something chest supported or single handed is far superior since you can target your back more effectively.

But now I think I do need to start barbell rowing.
I'm concerned if I should barbell row the day after squats and deadlifts or 2 days before.
(I follow a LOWER/UPPER/REST/LEGS/PUSH/PULL/REST routine)

I just recently switched from dumbbell rows to chest supported dumbbell rows.
It makes one hell of a difference and I went from rowing 25kg to 14kg.
Try it out,its the most strict way of doing rows. Combine that with slow, controlled reps pulling to your hips and you should take your rowing to the next level.

Exactly like pic related,my set up looks a little more unsafe but it's that incline chest support that really keeps the movement strict for me.
At the moment Im doing those and horizontal rows,if you squeeze at the end of the movement you'll be tired very quickly.
