Things dyels say

>No pain, no gain is a myth. At not point during your workout should you experience any pain or discomfort.

Discomfort and pain are two different things. Discomfort is a natural part of lifting heavy things over and over, and that's good if you're working out. Pain in a certain muscle or joint means that something is wrong with it and you should tend to it, not put it under more stress.

This. And if you need additional proof, note the trips.

>he feels discomfort while picking up heavy things and putting them back

Bad news: You aren't made for lifting.
It's well known that god tier lifters feel pure pleasure while working out. I can confirm it too. In fact it's extremely comfortable to feel the weight and pushing against it.

You should find a different hobby.

Or another way to put it, dyels think DOMS is "pain".

Found the dyels.

>you need to eat 250g of protein per day
>you only need squats and deadlifts for your abs
>ab muscles cant grow theyre made in the kitchen
>looking aesthetic is gay you should go for bearmode

>You need an Olympic coach to learn how to properly do power cleans.

>3 Sets of 10
>If it hurts, then it's too much weight
>Don't overdo it
>Lift to be healthy
>I'm not trying to get too big
>The difference between strength and power.......

dyel detected

>You only need 0.8g/lb protein

>trying this hard to Veeky Forums in

Doms can be painful as fuck

>stairs after first leg day

This is true though you fucking retard. Look up the science.

>Metabolism can only process X amount of protein per Y minutes.

I do 3 sets of 10 on some accessory exercises. What's wrong with that?

Why? If u can do more reps than do them. If you can add more weight do that. Why aim for a number with a limiter on it.

>eat 1g/lb protein

gee sorry maurice, but you can't blame the messenger for your pussy ass genes

yeah not in your joints and organs. muscle pain is fine

>im an ectomorph :^)

Depends on your goals, and also: assistance lifts. Assistance.

squats?

>I'm a mesomorph

>muh leg day doms xDDD
>it's bad for your knees/back etc.

>im

> I don't want to look like some roid raging gym rat so i'm not going to do squats and deadlifts

>I just want to be toned so i'll do low weight and high reps

this is the epitome of Veeky Forums permabulkers' delusions

>I could bench 2 plates once, but then I squatted too deep and fucked up my knees (because I just wouldn't listen)

You will fit right in with all the other losers once you turn 30

Yeah, it's you. Literally any athlete of any sport knows the difference between being in pain and being sore. You should be sore, you should not be in pain

>3 Sets of 10
What is hypertrophy

>2g/kg protein is too much

>being this retarded

>pain
>being sore

lel if you had the right genes you wouldn't even know what that is
Some people just aren't meant for lifting.

>"if an exercise is painful, you're not it right"
>"LOL DYELS GTFO"

I love you Veeky Forums, but fucking hell, do something about the ego lifters.

>3 Sets of 10

Is a good recommendation for accessory lifts.

Some of the things you guys are quoting are literally in the sticky.

>the sticky is 100% absolute truth

thats another thing DYELs say btw

>read the sticky

Well, nobody is saying that, but everyone around here parrots at every turn. Wouldn't that make all of Veeky Forums DYELs?

Kek fuck off summerdyel. You have to go back.

the sticky has okay advice for a complete noob, thats all

2013 was a great year.

She gets happier and happier

>be sure to retract your meme-ula when benching, wouldn't want to get strong shoulders or anything!

Found the DYEL

>don't round your back when deadlifting

...

I bet you're one of those "push it to the limit" faggots who thinks "strength equals mass" and goes to failure on every set. Suck a dick fag

...

>Why yes I do wear compression tights to the gym.

You should never feel pain when lifting, unless you are competing for a medal or something. Discomfort and pain are different.

Correct. Pic related.

IIRC this is true as well.

Flat-out unnecessary.

What you did there
> I seent it...

Well, shit. Not only did I forget to attach it I can't find it either. But still, 0.8g/lb is enough.

Have fun injuring yourself. That or you're not comprehending what I said

She should have stopped by 2014, or somewhere between 13 and 14. 2015 kinda looks...disproportionate, and not in a good way.

...

This is true.

I can press 1pl8 for reps, and push press lmao2pl8

Let me assure you
No pain no gain is 100% a myth.

Lifting should not hurt at all, even a little. Unless you have a very loose definition of "pain"
See
If something hurts or is discomfortabke, STOP because your form is probably fucked.

You show poor form. That user said nothing wrong. If you dispute this, you should lurk more

Yeah I've been here for over a year now. Also not an argument.

The only summerfag here is you.

Post pics of these gains you made with all this pain

>post pic
Fucking this.

I suspect OP is the biggest DYEL in the thread

sorry son youre gay

His point was that you shouldn't stop at 10 reps if you can push out more. Stopping before your muscles are pushed only helps goals related to injury rehab.

3x10 means three sets of your 10rm

Not just magically stop at the number 10

If you get too many reps, that is fine, you just didnt use enough weight.

If you get less reps, that is fine too.

But the aim is a 10rm

Yeah I'm totally in DYEL mode. Summerfags leave

it's not bad if the upper back is rounded, which can easily happen on heavy weight. however, the lower back should never be rounded

>Well memed, good sir
>tips

>still hasn't posted a pic
>i-i'm not dyel i s-swear!

Proof positive you are dyel.

If you looked like you lifted, you could easily post yourself.

OP is confirmed for the biggest DYEL In the thread.

I bet this fagnigger can't even bench 2pl8

Almost right.

A rounded back is fine, so long is it stays rounded.

Extending your spine from a rounded position is where snap city comes into play.

Not rounding your back is top tier noob advice. Mit is when these noobs try to advise the guy deadlifting 5pl8 that these dreams become memes

Probably not a good idea to share my pic (financial industry).

You're a fuckin faggot dude

If its your 10rpm, you're not going to be able to do it for three sets.

It should have a certain percentage of your one-rep max associated with it to determine intensity.

Blurr your face, or edit it out.

Nobody is going to recognize you from a six pack and nipples.

And even if they did, so what?

Are financiers not allowed to lift or shitpost on Veeky Forums??

Flimsy as fuck excuse/10

If you cant do your 10rm for 3 sets, you are not resting long enough between sets.

Endof.

>10rpm
How do you lift with revolutions per minute??

RM = rep max

Im a guy and want an ass like that.

Goal ass

I ruined my hip because of the no pain no gain. 8 years later ill admit that i will torture the person who first said that or any one that refers to a dead lift as a "pull". I will fucking torture them and make them watch themselves be tortured.

>certain percentage of your one-rep max
like around 74% of your 1rm?

We call that a 10rm

>haha my legs are so sore today i can barely walk up the stairs

Hip thrusts are your friend.
I can thrust more than i deadlift.

Feels good, mang.

what exactly are you suggesting? that deep squats are less safe than above parallel?

How much you pull bro?

are you a non-native english speaker or are you just a retard?

...

That is a common normie myth..

People have come up to me and told me not to squat so deep.

100% are either old fatfucks who think they are wise and know all the tricks to avoiding injury, as they flare their elbows out on smith machine bench presses. Or are scrawny dyels who have lifted like a month

>Do You Even Lift?
my max squat is 325, and I've torn my meniscus and MCL playing college football, and had to get surgery on both, so my legs are lacking. I know girls mire most places I go, I've litterally been at a party just talking to my friends and girls just comes up and pulls me to the side a starts making out with me. This has happened twice, I fucked both of them probably only saying 20 words to them. A girl literally pulled over once and asked me if I needed a ride. I said "yea" hopped in, and after about 5 mins of talking she asked me if I wanted to come over to her place, and I ended up fucking her. Trust me, girls mire everywhere I go. So yeah, I guess you could say I lift.

Is this copypasta, or fresh autism?

> respect the doms.
But they only really seem to happen the first month of getting back into lifting. After the muscles get reconditioned, than it just regular post workout soreness

he seems to be defending his internet honor, but i most certainly will not read.

Patrick, your autism is showing

...

Not same poster but you are literally
>are you kidding me?????!!!!!
>I have to PROVE my argument??????

So is your belly, bob.

Lol wtf am I reading???

I personally believe that unless you're competing, there shouldn't be any 'pain'

when I say pain, I mean sharp shooting pain; I consider excessive soreness/exertion to be classified as discomfort.

I could very well be wrong, but I feel that a lot of people put far too much weight on going really, really, balls-out hard at the gym without enough focus on the diet/nutrition behind it. I've gotten reasonably muscular without much actual pain while training.

i know that, that's why i asked op what he meant. ATG pause squats feel the most natural to me so they're what i usually do. i don't care about being able to do ~ 1pl8 less than what i normally can, i don't like the extra stress that normies don't seem to be bothered by when they do their 1/4 ROM squats

You'll understand once you get a bigboy job, kiddos.
